Good morning. 50 now heading to 74.
Last night in my usually very quiet neighborhood was eventful.

Was watching tv, heard tires screeching down the road, then heard a loud crash, followed by another loud crash. I ran to the front door while calling 911. Another car was across the street. 3 kids, maybe late teens, early 20's, got out of that car, ran to the other one. The driver of the upside down one somehow managed to get out of his car and they all ran back across the street yelling 'we have to get out of here' and took off down the road. I managed to snap a quick picture of the car, enough to at least see the make and model and that it had MD plates on it, which helped the police. No one can figure out how that car was coming in one direction, skidded into the ditch, back out, then rolled the car, and ended up facing the opposite direction
Half of the neighborhood was out in the street to see what was going on. The little boys next door came running over to ask me if I was okay, they're so cute. I was fine, since I was in the house and not near the crash. There was one tire across the street, another one on this side, pieces of the car had flown up onto the neighbors lawn from the street, other pieces scattered all over the road. There was a pair of sneakers and a hat on my lawn. Our fire truck came and parked diagonally across the road, so it had traffic stopped going both ways until everything had been cleared away.
A lady from down the road said she had heard cars come flying up the road past her house racing each other and knew something bad was about to happen. Fire trucks, state police, an ambulance, and several other official vehicles were here for more than an hour. Then the tow truck got here and it took them half an hour to spin the car around, and then managed to flip it right side up and pull it up onto the flatbed. The firemen stayed and spread stuff on the road to soak up all the fluids that had spilled out, and someone picked up all the parts and swept the glass out of the street.
How that kid wasn't hurt badly or killed is beyond me. He had to have some injuries. They found his wallet and phone in the car, so I don't know how far he thinks he's going to get without them finding him. At the very least he will be charged with leaving the scene of the accident.
. Summer did call last night and said she would be over this morning with the money. Then she proceeds to tell me that Lily and her boyfriend, 3 of her friends, another couple with a baby and Summer are all leaving for OC on Monday. She's going to drive her truck with the couple and the baby and Lily is taking her new car with everyone else. So she couldn't keep her word to me for 2 weeks, but all of a sudden she has money to go to the beach for a few days? I give up.
Have a good day everyone.
