How horrible that he had to go through that :(

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,251208,00.html

In a brazen online posting, a Holocaust denier detailed how he attacked Holocaust survivor and Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel in his hotel last week.

Wiesel's attacker approached him on the elevator, saying he wanted to interview him, police told the San Francisco Examiner newspaper. The attacker then pulled Wiesel out of the elevator.

Police said the attacker, identified as Eric Hunt, fled the scene when Wiesel started yelling.

Wiesel, the author of numerous books on his Holocaust experiences, including his concentration camp memoir “Night,” which won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.

Someone calling themself Eric Hunt posted a long description on the anti-Zionist Internet site ZioPedia.org, taking credit for the attack.“After ensuring no women would be traumatized by what I had to do (I had been trailing Wiesel for weeks), I stopped the elevator at the sixth floor. I pulled Wiesel out of the elevator. I said I wanted to interview him,” the posting read.

Wiesel grabbed at his chest and called for help, Hunt wrote.

“I told him, ‘Why don’t you want people to know the truth?’ His expression changed, and he began screaming again. …” the posting reads.

The online posting states that the writer intended to “bring Wiesel to my hotel room where he would truthfully answer my questions regarding the fact that his non-fiction Holocaust memoir, Night, is almost entirely fictitious.” Later in the posting, the Holocaust is portrayed as a “myth.”

That's horrible. I thought his book "Night" was so chilling and well written. What's worse is that its a true story.

Tell this Eric Hunt loser to take a trip to Dachau. I had taken a semester on the Holocaust at school (history minor). Nothing prepared me for that trip. I was physically ill after walking around.

How dare that loser deny it ever happened and assault Elie Wiesel on top of it.:sad2:

It's just unbelievable to me! How someone so stupid (the attacker) has managed to survive into adulthood is impressive, but shocking.

What is even more unbelievable is that there are so many people that think that way. Scary, very very scary.

How horrible and it is sad that there are many more who think the same way this creep does. Very sad that Mr. Wiesel had to endure that.

Seriously. I have a deep, deep hatred for Holocaust deniers.

Elie Wiesel has written many books, amongst them a book "Souls on Fire". Each chapter in the book chronicles the life of a famous Jewish person. One of the people chronicled (don't ask me for his name - I can pronounce it but don't have a clue on the spelling) was my great-great-great-great-great grandfather. It is so amazing to read about him - he wasn't particularly graceful and used to break a lot of things. Nice to know where I got the clumsy gene from!:rotfl2:

people never cease to amaze me. That make me feel ill.b

It's horrible for him on a personal level and its horrible for those who lived through the Holocaust to face everyday those that would deny what took place. I hope that they find that piece of human debris and lock him up.

It is just stunning to me that people actually believe the Holocaust didn't happen, especially when there are still plenty of survivors around to tell the tale. DH has a realtive who was in a camp...she has the number tatoo and everything! She lost her whole family, then met DH's parents, here in CA , many years later and they found out that they are related. She cried! She was so happy to have family again!
