After the hub was finished last Summer we went to the MK. I wanted a good view where at 5' 1" I could see the fireworks. We sacrificed seeing the parade, except from afar, and staked out a spot between the Crystal Palace and the Castle. When time for the parade came, CM's came and made us move, and move again, and move again until we were pushed down maid street past Casey's and toward the entrance. At this point we forced our way into the street where I could see absolutely nothing but the very top of the Castle. After the men in front of us put their children up on their shoulders I could not see anything. I became claustrophobic and went into a panic attack and we left. My question is where can we go to watch the fireworks where we won't be forced out of the park. I don't want a repeat of last Summer. Thank you.

The bridge to FW has a little cement seating area, stake it out about 45 min early. You can stand on the bench since no one will be behind you.

Having anxiety+being short= worst combination for fireworks. I don't even bother trying to watch Wishes in MK anymore, as anywhere you are there's a good chance of somebody putting their child on their shoulders or pulling out their Ipad and holding it above their heads and blocking your view. I prefer to watch from the Poly beach. They pipe in the music and you can sit in a lounge chair, it's very laid back. Admittedly, it's not the same experience, as you can only see the tip of the castle, but for my sanity, worth it! If you are dead-set on watching from inside the park, stake out a spot VERY EARLY upstairs against the railing at the train station. At least an hour before whatever show comes first (parade/Celebrate the Magic/fireworks).

FP it. Or, if you want to throw $$ at it, book the Dessert Party.

I agree with FP it or watch from behind the castle. It is a different experience but I found it neat as it felt like the fireworks were all around you.

That has happened to me, OP, twice. This year, I got a FP+ for Wishes, and the night of the MVMCP, I also watched from there, as well. I am also short, 5'2" and get panic attacks, so I understand. I had good luck with the FP+ viewing area. I stayed in the back, by the fence. I had plenty of room.

We found the FP to be fantastic. Yes, we know we sacrificed getting a 4th but for us it was worth it. The view was fantastic, the area was not crowded, we had plenty of space and were able to enjoy our last night in the world. Some of us stayed all the way back by the fence (it allowed for the best unobstructed photos) and some just a little in front of that on the grass.

Another short one with anxiety here. We plan to do the P&P cruise and a night on the Poly beach. *Maybe* a FP+ if they're available same-day, but mostly we plan to enjoy the fireworks from elsewhere.

I'm 5'0" and really don't have any problems watching from Main Street. Everyone I know has been very polite, too. If a father put his kid on his shoulders, he'd allow me to step in front of him to see.

Your other options are really just to Fastpass it, watch from behind the castle, or maybe go to the Polynesian Resort and watch from the beach.

We are a super short family, and my 14 yo daughter has a lot of anxiety. So on our first MK day, we skipped the fireworks and parade completely.

The second MK day, we got a FP for wishes (since my kids weren't interested in the parade anymore).

It worked out so well for us. I don't know that I would do it on trips without her. But it was way more relaxing than being scrunched around the hub with a thousand people pushing on you. And because we had more room, we were able to back away from the people in front of us to allow all of us shorties to get a good view of the castle.

On a trip where I only had one MK day, I wouldn't want to use a FP for it though.

I love sitting on the Train station ...I usually pick my spot early and I can see not
only the parade but the fireworks... I will have my grandson with me in August and
I'm not sure I will be able to stake my seat out that early...

I like the view behind the castle much better. No such thing as short you have to look up and keep turning around because your in the middle of them. The downside is you can't see the images projected on the castle but I generally tell people see it once in front of the castle and then make sure you experience it at least once behind the castle..

Also from behind the castle, the "smoke" that lingers if it's humid from the near the castle fireworks does not block the view of the high altitude ones behind the park.

Here is some pics from sept on what behind the castle looks like..

The area you described is now reserved for those with FastPasses for Wishes. Get Fastpasses, and arrive early enough at the FastPass area to not be in the back, and that should solve your problem. It will be easier to get these if you're staying on-site & select them 60 days out.
