I'm really sorry...

Hope you get well soon Pete! My kids and I love listening to the podcast and are wishing you a speedy recovery!
We returned from 11 great days at WDW September 4 and I'm still w a chest cold...

Get well soon, Pete! There's too much to do in the Parks with F&W and your upcoming vacation for you to be sick. I hope that my DW and I run into you or some of the podcast team at F&W on our upcoming October trip. :)

Pete, feel better and remember "Love means never having to say you're sorry" or something like that. A simple "No show, I'm sick" will suffice.:thumbsup2

Pete, hope you feel better soon!
Thanks for taking the time to let us all know, even when you feel horrible.

I think its a nasty year all around. I know its going to be a nasty fall/winter for us here. School has only been in session about a month and my DD has been out twice so far. Once for a nasty cold and second time, just over a week later she had Strep throat. Oh Joy. and DH is just now getting over a nasty cold as well.
And we leave for WDW Oct. 4! I am sooo hoping DS and I don't get any of this. Knock on wood.

Thanks for your support and understanding - Walter:sick:
Always! Thank you and the rest of the team for putting together such a wonderful show! :worship:

I am thinking of having my tonsils out - when I get sick I get horrendous sore throats and you can see my tonsils are inflamed.
Was it bad having this done as an adult?

I had mine out at 24. My was emergency surgery though ... I had a abscess and woke up in horrible pain at 2 a.m. - that is after a round of major antibiotics. Trip to the emergency room and surgery at 8 a.m. the next morning. I was told to be careful about carbonated drinks and hard food. It took me about a week before I could eat well, and two before I was eating normally again. I was also supposed to avoid being around a lot of people or really public places for at least a week. I also got a lot of strep throat as a kid. Since the tonsils have been out, I haven't had one throat illness issue.
But recovery was not a fun time.

Keep well everyone! :grouphug:

I hope you feel better and soon. I seem to catch everyone's cold. I'm very careful to wash my hands, keep my hands away from my face, disinfect surfaces, take a multi-vitamin, get enough rest, and so on. I saw a marked improvement at the beginning of the year when I started taking additional vitamin D. C is good but I read that alot of people are deficient in vitamin D.

I hate getting sick but even more so when it's warm outside. I hope you are up and around soon, Pete.

Sending lots of GET WELL wishes for Pete and STAY WELL wishes for everyone else! Being sick is no fun at all and it's definitely not something to be shared.

Amanda

Sorry you are sick. Don't go too long without going to a doctor. Hope you feel better real soon.

I had my tonsils out as an adult. It was rough but havent had a sore throat since and that was over 20 years ago. So I think it was worth a week of pain.

Feel better Pete take as long as u need one day or one year what ever it takes We will always be here waiting ;)

Feel better soon. Watch it if its gone in to your chest, that can be far worse. Id also start making Max wear a surgical mask around the podcast.
Dont feel you need to appologize. Everyone gets sick.

Hi Pete,

Get better soon, always looking forward to the next show.

I'm new to the show and started listening about three weeks ago with my new Ipod Touch.

Would be happy to fill in when you are not feeling well and would only require that the show supply me with:

1. Roundtrip airfare from Boston.
2. Grand Floridian accomodations
3. Dinner at Victoria and Albert's the first night, Narcoosee's the second and Yachtsman the third night. Oh yah, a cup of Portabello soup from Artist point also.
4. Lunch: Via Napoli, Chefs de France and Rose and Crown
5. Already have annual passes.
6. A backlot tour of your choice that includes three parks.
7. Facial at Grand Floridian Spa
8. Would like to meet Bob Iger also just to say hello.

Is that OK?

Just kidding of course.

Love the show. Thanks for all you and and your crew do!

Tom C

OK - don't tell Kevin about the not talking part......he would drive me there tomorrow....

I had my tonsils out when they rearranged my breathing path way for my Sleep Apnia. The worst part was that because of my weight, I had to have a tractotomy, which was the horrible part - morphine for a few days - and eating was no fun.

But looking back, it's the best thing I could have done for my Sleep Apnia. Besides, I think Kevin would enjoy fussing over you while you were recovering.

There's something nasty going around right now. DS10 and I both have a bit of crud and more than half of the third grade at my boys' school was out on Tuesday! (15 out of 28 were home sick! I sure am glad I don't have a third grader!). Thank goodness they have a 4-day weekend this week or the whole place would be in trouble.

Feel better, Pete! Have some tea and won ton soup. They cure everything.
