I'm a little late at joining, but ready to read the whole PTR. I used to be on the boards as "shebaxric", but after we took our trip to WDW last Thanksgiving, I kept off of the boards for a while and never started my TR after I had my little girl. To make a long story short (I'd PM you if I could, but don't have enough posts yet), I had to re-register because my original account wouldn't let me post at all. So, I'm now under DekkerDisneyDreamer, and I hope you remember me. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the kids and how much they've grown since your last TR. Take care!

Oy, Julie your list makes me tired just looking at it! You put me to shame, lol. I'm almost afraid to make a list because I don't know that I'd get much done. There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day lately. I guess it's a good thing my kids don't know about the trip so I don't have any of the countdown activites to plan.

AM stop....we can trade ideas for Tgiving week soon...we must schedule a Panera Dis-meet! you can sneak over anytime to share in our countdowns...and can you belive Matt scheduled Rachel parent teacher conference on our 10 days to Disney night

80 days to Disney FUN!...​

we had our next Family Fun Countdown to Disney two nights ago after dinner and in between homework, cello practice and showers…but we still managed a small hour of Disney Family Fun!

Naomi-Ruth was very excited to take down the Mickey Head this time:

It was CARS night…we used Nathan’s extensive collection of CARS cars, mini cars and several Disney cars…DH set up a race track on the dining room table.

We raced several times w/ Sally (Rachel) winning once and Flo (Bekah) twice…then Sully the Semi (Naomi-Ruth) was a last minute entry and blew us off the track….

We ended the night w/ watching:

And a few other Disney/PIXAR shorts…

As well last Sat and this past Monday we celebrated my Father’s (the 28th), Grandmother’s (the 31st) and my (the 30th) Birthdays…

First was a family BBQ at our home…here is the Birthday trio:

And some of the cool gifts I received:


A new mini VB bag from my sister

A funky Mickey bag from Matt’s sis

And my scrapbooking toy….a Cricut from my parents

On Monday after I woke up, Matt left this for me:

a homemade pop up Wrigley Field, Mickey Baseball tag, and card...

that night I treated my Dad to our 4th annual Father/Daughter CUBS game outing and my Aunt and other sil came w/.


Boy it was empty….

But we had a great time…cheers!

It was a great night!

And just a few mini non trip Disney odds and ends to share:

First got these fun things at Target for the kids Mickey/Disney themed bathroom:

And hey look it’s “Tink in Training”

Matt made this homemade bean bass toss over the summer all from items around the garage/house...

Plus last night I wasn’t feeling hot and was laying in bed looking at a Disney guidebook, when Naomi-Ruth came to join me and was looking at a different guide book…when she saw a picture of the Mickey/Walt statue…and exclaimed:

“OOOHHHH it’s Mickey’s Daddy!”

Then lter she is looking at a map of the MK and was asking what a few of the pictures were, when I told her the red rocks was BTMRR…she said proudly “I like that too”…then paused and said “but not the Thunder there”

My last little Disney quote from an almost 4 yr old is:

“Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo….I turn you into Poo”

I know...he said other dates were even closer to when we leave...so it should be good...the conference are generally only 20 min long anyways

I didn't either...they had more Mickey things for the counter...but the basic Target brand accessories looked like they could handle a kid bath better...Bekah wanted me to get the garbage can...but I was it's $20...she counters but it has Mickey on it

Julie, you are definitely the queen of lists and crafts!! I love all of the special Disney fun nights you've had with the kids, you make it almost as fun as being at WDW! These are all ideas I can use (if you don't mind) when Madelyn gets older. I won't be able to do too much with her for our next trip (she'll only be 16 months), but these are wonderful ideas to pass the time before Disney. Waiting patiently for your MK installment.

thanks Stephanie...it's been fun playing w/ it, haven't done anything serious yet...but going to soon...need to get the kids autograph books done and then I can use it for the girls b-day books...Mom found me a Princess one on mega sale for only $40 too
