I recently read about the adjustments to the Fast Pass + system. If you don't reserve all 3 fast passes at one park, can you reserve another fast pass at a different park? For example: at Hollywood Studios we would like to reserve Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror, but we would like to reserve our 3rd fast pass at a different park. Is this allowed under the new FP+ system?

Unless some new changes are coming that I'm not aware of, the answer is no. I just made FPs for my trip, and could only book at 1 park per day. Once you use up your 3 reserved FPs for the day, you can book at another park if desired.
As I understood it, the new FP system allows you to book the "4th" fastpass through MyDisneyExperience, instead of having to use the kiosks in the park. That is the only change I've read about.

the system didn't really change for this, the only change is you can get less than 3 initially and you can get them from your phone after that instead of having to use a kiosk. So you can book up to 3 in advance for the same park. Once you use them or cancel out what you didn't use then 1 by 1 you can add more for another park (using or canceling them before you get the next one).

There is no way to get fastpasses for 2 parks in advance.

What you can do is just book the 2 you want at DHS (you don't have to book three anymore) and then once you've used both, then you can book one for the next park from your phone.

Have you tried this or know someone who has? We still have a couple of days before we make our FP+ reservations, but we are planning for them now!

That is correct, you can book your 3rd Fastpass for a different park as soon as you have scanned your card/magic band for your second ride. You don't actually have to have ridden it just done the scan.

I have read this on the forum from someone who has done it, but you don't need to wait until you have been on your second ride just when you have done the scan. Do it whilst you are waiting in line for the ride.
