I'm not feeling safe using the Boardwalk path for Epcot or DHS as a solo

I'd like some input, here. I'm female and I think at night this could be spooky. It seems using the boats can take twice as long, but if it's safer it may be worth it.

How's your experience, here?

Never walked it at night, and I do not doubt that you could walk back and forth all night with twenty's hanging out of your pockets and you would be safe. But as a 41-yo 290+ lb guy - I wouldn't feel comfortabe walking it by myself. The distance is not a problem, but the path is somewhat remote (relative to other similar walking paths at WDW) and comes very close to the road. Not worth the potential time savings over not waiting for a boat IMO.

I have jogged those paths at night by myself. They are well-lit. As a woman, I felt very safe. :goodvibes

DHS path is more isolated, and can be spooky at night. The path from BW to EPCOT is very well lit, much shorter, and I would have no problem with that one.

I agree the path to Epcot is no problem, at the end of the day you just go along with the crowd. I found the path to DHS a tad long and don't think I'd like it at night.

I have walked the BW to Epcot path as a woman alone many and was a little nervous the first time as it was dark and no one was there, but after that felt entirely comfortable.

I have walked it at night, and every sound I heard coming from the bushes spooked me.

I now wait for a family or group to head that way, then I sort of tag along, walking behind them--not too close that they think I'm weird or stalking them--but not too far, so I feel safe. I "adopt" them for the walk back. :rotfl:

re: studios path...
I've been on that path many many times at night
with no problems! I run that path in the wee hours of the
morning also. Disney has cameras everywhere, so no worries:thumbsup2
When the studios is closing you will have lots of company
for the walk home! I never take the boat because it takes
waaaay to long!!!!

re: epcot path - it's better lit and never had a problem there either!

But.. Do what feels comfortable to you:goodvibes

I have always felt safe on the pathway after park closing - always seems someone is walking on it. Especially as the line gets longer and longer for the boat.

Disney does have cameras everywhere.

I'm probably one of the most easily spooked, super-cautious. Yet, I've walked the long path from DHS to the BWV in the dark solo.
It seems like there's always some families with young kids no matter what the hour. So I do just what MdmMm suggested-sort of "adopt" them to walk not far from.

I can only speak to the Epcot path back to Boardwalk/Beach Club... totally safe... I was completely comfortable!! :goodvibes

I walked (well, wobbles, I had my foot in a cast) at night all by myself from Epcot to BC and back (to pick up purchases) and never felt unsafe. The path is wide and well-lit.

both DHS and Epcot paths are safe and fine for night walking. believe me you won't be the only person.

wdw guests will come to help you (not to mention CM and security) if anything happens - but it won't

believe me after that nut got pass BW security - there is no area more secure.

remember that Disney has camera just about everywhere. they definitely have them between their hotels and parks. okay assuming again.

now walking from dtd to ssr can have some dark places that as a solo woman don't appreciate it.

but Epcot to BWV is pretty lite up.

that say take the boats once in while -they can be fun!!!

I get a little more cautious, but I have no problems with the DHS path to BW at night. Actually it's really peaceful and I love how the moon hits the water, and listen to the critters in the water.

Now the DTD to OKW at night is a little more isolated and I will only do that with another person. Early morning runs I feel fine though.

Never even given it a 2nd thought - and I'm a short, slender female. Of course use common sense, but try not to assume there's danger where there's not. I can't think of a single walkway at WDW that I'm not comfortable on solo at any hour of the day/night!

I have walked that path many times by myself, also. Never had any problems. The first time I did it, I was a little uneasy. I was pleasantly surprised how many other females were walking by themselves. Since then, it does not bother me. There are usually quite a few other people on the path. Although, I would never be on it late at night. I just feel safer that way. The lastest I've walked has been right at park closing. I have taken the path from DHS to BW, and BW to EP. It is actually quite a nice walk. :tink: princess: :tinker:

I had absolutely no qualms about walking from Epcot, but I don't think I'd walk from MGM at night. I saw the path during the day, and it looks to be a little isolated for my comfort.

I just walked the path from Epcot to the Boardwalk Saturday night by myself, and I didn't feel uneasy at all. It is beautiful at night, I found myself stopping to take pictures and just enjoy the scenery.
