I'm Not As Tink As You Kronk I Am - Final Thoughts on Mustard's January Trip to WDW

another group of great pics.

I have to find that umbrella next time.

Whew! I'm all caught up!!! Took me a full day.

Bean and my kids would get along just fine. They could ride RnRC and ToT all day if I let them. Thank goodness there are bathrooms at both rides!

Now I can stay caught up as I finish my own TR. Waiting for more...

bummer about the finale at Indiana. Gotta be safe though.

Yeah, it was a letdown, but you're right - don't want audience participation to include a stampede of scared parkgoers running for the exits if things got out of hand.

Love the pictures of Bean with Buzz and Woody. They way Buzz's face is on his costume cracks me up!!! :rotfl: I must get a picture with them in September. I bet I'll laugh at him then too.

She really enjoyed the interaction and the line wasn't too long so we didn't feel rushed. Next time I'm going to get a pic with them too! :D

I loved Pizza Planet too. It is quite noisy downstairs but upstairs is nice.

:woohoo: you found the umbrella!!!! That rain feature is so sporadic. At least you found it though. Most people can't even figure out where it's at :rotfl:

Yup, and Bean was okay with not playing any games since we had played at the big McDonalds with all of the games :thumbsup2

Yes, when we came across the umbrella the ground was still wet so I figured it would be a tough one to wait for it to do it again. Still happy to have noticed it, it blends in so well.

I love the Backlot Tour. Looking forward to more pictures from that. Bummer about it being too cold for someone to get drenched. When we were there in Sept they didn't have audience participation then either because of technical difficulties.

Bean and I were both looking forward to it and really enjoyed it. I know I wouldn't want to be in that room when all that water came in :scared1:

Super update:goodvibes

The pictures are great ~ I didn't look at the pics of Indiana Jones though...I haven't seen it yet and I didn't want to spoil it;)

Thank you :) Okay, I can understand that - keep the suprise factor up. Good deal ;)

Sounds like a nice fun lunch at Pizza Planet and the pic of Bean kissing Buzz's teeth is too funny:laughing:

You guys were sure having a fun special day together!

:)

It was a good restful lunch and yeah, I didn't see that pic of her kissing Buzz until we got the Photopass shots uploaded after we got back. It is an instant classic for our fam :D

Yes, it was an amazing time with some very special memories made and a tradition that I would like to keep going with our daughters.

The picture of bean kissing Buzz...hilarious!

Wait...the umbrella has a rain feature? How do you get it to work?

They didn't have audience participation the day we did the backlot tour either. Boo.

Yeah, it was supercute :cutie:

It apparently is on some kind of timer and just comes on randomly.

They must only do the aduience stuff on Backlot when it's REALLY hot. I'd be interested in seeing pics of someone getting soaked in that thing ...as long as it wasn't me ;) :thumbsup2

another group of great pics.

I have to find that umbrella next time.

Thanks much and yes ...you can't miss the umbrella if you walk towards LMA from Al's Toy Barn :goodvibes

OMG! Ye are very dedicated! Thank you for taking the time

Amazing the stamina of the young thrillseekers, isn't it? Oh yes, having bathrooms close helped, plus we didn't eat or drink anything until after we were done riding ;)

Cool, I'm coming to the last couple of days finally. It has been a long haul, that's for sure! I'll stop back by your TR this weekend :goodvibes

And to show that I'm not the only brilliant photographer (see how my head swells with all those compliments :lmao: ) in the family, my Sis just sent these to me from our AK day!

Hey look an actual picture of me (along with my mom) ...and my camera again :rotfl2: Oh, and you can sort of see my stylin' new Disney sweatshirt in that one

:confused3 you wanna bet. :rotfl2: I walked that way 3 times last trip. oh well maybe next time.

All those great pix of Indiana Jones just to be cut off at the end.....:confused3

Oh well...still great pictures.:thumbsup2

Does the smile on your DDs face at the Toy Barn show how happy she was? Those are great pix.....

I also like your detailed pix at ToT.....I took a few, but certainly didn't catch everything you did.....

Hey look, it's camera face again! :rotfl: j/k!! I love the pictures your sister sent. It's always nice to see some pictures from someone else's point of view on your trip huh?

Love the sweatshirt (or what I can see of it) :thumbsup2

Hehehe, Okay. If you're walking from Al's Toy Barn and come out into the open area where LMA's entrance and the fence for the turnaround for Backlot tour are, look back towards the San Francisco street - it is right on the corner ;)

More great pics...:goodvibes

I'll send your compliments on to her :D

Yup, I was not impressed to have such a fun show just end like that. Oh well, next time :thumbsup2

Yes, those were genuine smiles on DD's face with Buzz and Woody - no "smile for the camera" needed on those :lovestruc

Thanks on the ToT pics, it seems that everybody got better lobby pics than me, but I tried to make up for it on the ride ;)

I've still never seen it.

See my reply to Scott above - I'll get everyone to it if I can!

Me neither!!!

Hehe, also see above to Scott's post. I would say that if you stand by the fence at the turn-around and look back towards the streets/path towards Al's you should be able to catch it.

Hey look, it's camera face again! :rotfl: j/k!! I love the pictures your sister sent. It's always nice to see some pictures from someone else's point of view on your trip huh?

Yup! Just lil ole me with a camera stuck to my face  Yes, she takes wonderful pics and has promised to send more on. Unfortunately she still uses a film camera so has to get them developed and scanned before she can post them.

Thanks on the sweatshirt *in his best Forest Gump voice* "It's my favorite" :lmao:

As promised, a few more booms and bangs

Into the prop warehouse. We were a smaller group so there wasn’t much time to stop and really look at the stuff they had in there.

And before you knew it we were on the tour vehicle. As we were pulling out I could see that we were in for a special treat! The LMA show was going on – Whoohoo! Here is the “good guy” car next to one of the “bad guy” cars just as they are speeding back into the stunt arena.

The water started to pool on our seat and I after brushing it back with my hand a few times I managed to get away with only minor soakage of my pants – lol. But I protected Bean from it and my camera stayed dry so all was well ;-]

As we came out we saw the Herbie halves sitting behind the stands

Hey, perfect! Managed to get the rest of the Backlot tour in this one. Tune in next time for a trip on The Great Movie Ride ……and there was much rejoicing

*the peanut gallery goes “yaaaayyyy” with lackluster enthusiasm*

:rotfl: bummer that she still has to get her pictures developed. Did you tell her she needs to try to transition to this century? :rotfl: just messin! I know some folks still like 35mm cameras.

haha yet another great quote :thumbsup2

also great pictures from the backlot tour. Glad your camera stayed safe in all the water from the canyon.

The picture you asked where that stuff was from...not sure what the one on the left is from but the one on the right is one of the crypts from "Haunted Mansion" and the other picture you asked about if they were crypts from the "Haunted Mansion" yes::yes:: they are :thumbsup2

thanks for the info on the umbrella.

great pics of the tour. I love the Star Wars. :yay: :yay: :yay:

We did a little more looking around in the Villain display and then strolled out to see that the Cars were out saying hello. Bean isn’t as much into characters and wasn’t interested in waiting in line to get a pic with them so I just waited for a moment in between parents bringing up scared/enthusiastic little ones to get a shot of them by themselves.
Dis08_1275.JPG

As we strolled out I had Bean stop real quick to get a shot under the ton of bricks :D
Dis08_1276.JPG

We walked through the Streets of America just taking it all in but didn’t stop for any pictures. We curved our way around onto Commissary Lane and around to The Great Movie Ride. I had been hesitant to ride this one but Bean really wanted to and there was hardly any line. We went in so fast I only got a shot of the carousel horse
Dis08_1277.JPG

before we were on our “boat”. In hindsight I should have held off and got us a front row as we were second to last and it was hard for Bean to see everything.

Anyways – on with the show!

Dis08_1299.JPG

There ended our float along the GMR river. Bean actually liked it and was up for going again (she had said this about backlot too). I looked at our list of things to do and said what I had last time – “once we’ve finished doing the other stuff you wanted to do, we’ll see :D

We moved along and found that The Little Mermaid was about to start. With this show we leared a very important lesson in where NOT to line up. We ended up sitting in the front row on the very end. It was a horrible, horrible view, especially for Bean – even with her in my lap.

I took a few pics in there, but with no flash it was a real dice roll. It should be noted that the next pic puts me at picture number 1,300 on our little photographic journey …and I still have over 2 days to go – lololol

Yes, I know, but I know when she does deliver she usually has something really cool to show. She'll join the modern camera world one day ;) I'm all about silly quotes :D

Ahhh, cool - I thought they might have been from the HM movie!

thanks for the info on the umbrella.

great pics of the tour. I love the Star Wars. :yay: :yay: :yay:

No problem, happy to share - and yes, Star Wars rules!

great update and pics.

GMR again. no.

The Little Mermaid pics came out really nice.

Thanks again, and yes - I wouldn't mind missing GMR next time either. And the Cars was just a lucky timing thing, I think they were only there twice that day.
