I'M JUST SHOWBOATIN' AROUND THE WORLD! & getting pooped on. Jan 13 TR! NEW TR POSTED!

The coloring on Matt's tattoo is so good and totally not what I was expecting!

I like how the turtles arranged themselves in a circle to eat the crackers... how organized of them!

All of the food at the GF Cafe looks so delicious!

That totally stinks about the monorail being down/your long wait for a boat! You probably could have just walked it faster! (and avoided having a terrible driver!)

Ugh, I know I was just "in" Disney (well, at least on property) and our trips are just a month and change away, your pictures make me miss it so much! I can't even.

The pins, the vinyls, the food, the MONORAIL. The GFlo pics are so good! And I love the food at the Cafe there. I think it is such an underrated restaurant. It's delicious, it's in a gorgeous locale, and it is mere minutes from the Magic Kingdom!

Bah, I just can't wait until we are all there!!!

When I first read that you fed the turtles "goldfish" I immediately imagined you and Matt merrily walking with a baggie of live goldfish! Seriously, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME???? Hahaha... I don't know why I didn't automatically think crackers first.

Well, I'm glad you fed the turtles goldfish crackers... :thumbsup2

And I can completely relate to the not understanding your own notes. I just completed my first TR and I learned a lot about jotting down detail for my next trip. And about writing neatly. That is going to be a challenge.

Oh my $%#@$%@&#&$!!!!! Lobster on a burger sounds devine!

Your GF pictures were gorgeous, btw! :goodvibes

LOVE the photos at dusk... So peaceful and just gorgeous!

I really enjoy the random interactions with strangers... We shared a table a few trips ago at AK and thoroughly enjoyed our table mates! I even gave them our desserts that we just didn't have room in our bellies for! They were thrilled! Haha!

Unfortunately, I tuned into this WONDERFUL TR super duper late but I am so happy that I stumbled upon it! :cheer2:

Basically, I had NOTHING to do today! So I thought what better way to spend a nice day off than by the pool on DIS! I can definitely say I sat by the pool the entire afternoon until 10:42 :rotfl: and read every update you posted and I loved every second of it! I cannot wait for more updates!

I love some of your pictures, they are unbelievable! I also love how detailed and witty it is! Mucho Kudos to you! :thumbsup2

cannot wait to read more!

Basin does seem lovely, and I've popped in, but never bought anything... yet!

Yay Turtles! Boo Monorail. We'd call that a grumpasaurus face, haha.

Matt's tattoo turned out fabulously, very very cool.

We were in Seattle for a Mariners/Blue Jays game and shopping. Had a great time in your city, but maybe you could work on those hills? Safeco is a great field though :thumbsup2

Dani!! Just checking in to tell you that of COURSE I'm still here and reading along, it's just that my lack of computer makes it a little harder to comment. (I'm currently on my iPod.) Hahaha. But obviously I'm loving it! Hopefully I'll be able to get back to my regular commenting soon!

HOW DID I NOT KNOW YOU HADN'T BEEN TO A BASIN BEFORE THEN!?

I would have forced you to go WAY sooner. It's magical. That hand scrub is magical. It's magical Disney soap.

You know my, and Johnny's especially, affinity for smelling things. It's seriously like a two hour ordeal for us. I think the CM's of the DTD one were starting to get creeped out. Whatever. Haters gonna hate.

Also, your post made me hungry. And we just ate. This isn't even fair.

I DO NOT KNOW BUT I HADN'T AND NOW I AM HAPPY THAT I HAVE GONE!!

But yes, it is magical. September I am most definitely trying out that hand scrub!

Hahaha, Matt and I are the same way, but when we go to Bath and Body Works. We sit there and go through ALL of the different candle scents and decide which ones to buy. It's kind of awesome.

Yeah, well, my next post is going to make you hungry again. SORRYYYYYY.

I said this on insta already but because it's so awesome I have to comment again. Matt's tattoo just came out perfect. It really is just amazing!

That fish and chips looks quite delicious. I don't even like fish and now I want some :confused3

How nice that you were able to share a table with friendly people!

I'm gonna start pin trading for the first time this trip and I'm fairly certain it's going to become an addiction. That's the main reason I've avoided it til now but I'm SO excited already so it's fine. Only my bank account will suffer, I've accepted it. Vinylmations also appear addicting. God help me the day I get my first one.

Hmm maybe you didn't have a ton of time to go to Stormalong Bay? Blame autocorrect. That's what I always do!

Eeep. I love seeing the Grand Floridian. It's so fancy. And it makes me feel out of place which I'm oddly ok with. :confused3

I need to visit Basin in September! Everyone keeps saying such excellent things about it!

AH those pins are awesome! Especially the Carl one!

Wow your dinner sounds seriously delicious! Especially your burger. I wish I was in Disney eating right now.

Hey thanks! He loves it, and I think it came out amazing... AND just in time to be healed for our Disney World trip! I mean, he'll have to go back for touch up after our trip, but still, he's excited!

It's SUPER good and delicious. I'm a big fish 'n chips fan though, so there's that!

Yeah, it was actually a pretty enjoyable lunch and they were very friendly!

YAY! It will be an addiction, not even a question! Vinylmation is what really sucked me in, blergh... but I'm actually really excited for the big trading event in September!

That had to be it! Not enough time I guess... but sometimes it was nice to just go to the quiet pool with way less people. September we are going to be spending a LOT of time at Stormalong Bay though!

The GF is beautiful! I love going there and want to stay there agaiiiiin. I miss it.

Yes you do, it's crazy expensive but smells so good!

I know, I was so excited about the Carl pin! It was one of my favorites of the trip!

It was VERY good. The worst part about writing TRs is posting the photos of the amazing food and realizing you can't eat it right then and there! BUT SOON!

Wow!! I can't believe you own all of those park starz!! What exactly are they? Like made with the same material but in different shapes of things you see in the park? Are they all blind boxed too?

I got the shrimp and grits from GFC too! I loved it so much Everyones food looks yummy.

gorgeous dusk photos! I wish the resorts still had trade boxes. It makes me sad there is only 5 or 6(or however many there is) trade boxes in all of Disney World..

Haha yeah, I LOVE the Park Starz series! They are all based around JUST the Parks only, and the molds are all completely unique and different, unlike normal Vinylmation. They're a little more expensive than regular Vinylmation, but they come in nice tins and they're "blind" tins so you don't know what you're getting. They're about the same height though!

Yeah, GFC is awesome! I'd go there again for sure.

Thanks! And yeah, I don't get why they got rid of the trade boxes. SO frustrating.. I'm bringing a bunch of traders in September, but only because I'm attending the Reflections of Evil trading event, so I know I can make trades with people there that are not for crappy BOGOs or whatever.

Mmm, the fish & chips look so good.

I love all of the pictures you took at dusk - absolutely gorgeous.

Congrats on buying DVC. I would love to do that someday.

They are SO good. Definitely a new favorite of mine, and I will be getting them again in September!!

Thanks so much! I got lucky on some of our photos! :)

I am so excited. We're SO close to officially being members, on the very final steps at this point of becoming members! :goodvibes

Matt's tattoo turned out really well!

We like exploring the different hotels at the Disney properties. It is a lot of fun to see all of the beautiful grounds, and of course, the variety of merchandise in the stores :thumbsup2.

I think it turned out pretty awesome! I can't wait until it's completely touched up and done!

It's a blast going to all of the different properties and resorts! One of our favorite parts of the trip is seeing the other resorts!

Dani! I'm sorry I've been absent from your TR...life got the better of me. I have to laugh though, you went a week before me and I've been done for months with my TR and you are still going! Love it! :lmao: I also ADORE Matt's tattoo! It's perfect. I'm happily reading along again, you guys are headed back in soon, right? Need to catch up more!

KAREN!! I was just thinking about you the other day actually, so funny that you popped in to say hello! Trust me, I understand the life thing though!

But yes, this TR is STILL trucking along! Hahaha. I just haven't had the time to sit and really churn out the updates plus respond to everyone. But it worked out well, because my next trip is coming right up!

Glad you're here again, and yeah, only like 33 days until our next trip!! :yay:

Oh Dani. I have such a story about the Maharajah jungle trek from our February trip. I'll type it when we get out of Children's, which will hopefully be tomorrow!! I always love reading your updates. :) you got some beautiful pictures of Epcot and the Grand Floridian!!

Oh I would love to hear it! I hope everything is going well, I had no idea about the baby until I saw some photos on IG. Hope you guys are all doing well, and congratulations again! :)

:yay: TATTOO!!! That is a thing of beauty. Please tell Matt congratulations. It's fabulous!
Plus, knowing what you were doing while this was being completed makes me love it even more. :goodvibes

Ahhh I loved that Fish & Chips. Funny story from a few years back. I was there with a group and we went here for food. A buddy of mine (with a BIG appetite) was in front of all of us so he ordered first. I swear he was going to cry when he got his fish and I swear Fried Guppy would have been bigger. The rest of us all got large pieces. It was one of my funniest memories.

I think meeting people is one of my favourite things about the Disney experience. So nice of you to share your table.

Oh God a Big Al Vinylmation!! :hyper: Must... Look... Away... Will... Become... Addicted!

Ha gotta get in the random photos. LOVE IT!

I will! I'm sure he'll see this since he does read my TR, haha. :) AND YES! Just casually catching up on your super awesome TR, that's how I roll!

Hahhaa, that is the saddest little story for your friend. He got the little baby sized fish! SO SAD! Because those fish 'n chips are amazing!

I agree, meeting other super nice people in Disney is kind of the best!

Hahaha, yes, there are some AWESOME Vinylmation out there! I MUST SUCK SOMEONE ELSE INTO THIS ADDICTION! Mwhahaha.

Always throwing down those random photos... always.

I'm SO EXCITED for Basin White in September! I'm such a bath kind of girl. I actually have it written in our plans for that Monday, which is when we're going to GF for 1900 Park Fare.

Also written into our plans is to recreate the scene from Full House when Steve and DJ run across the lobby and he trips and then they have a huge sloppy kiss. No big deal. We're also going to go to THE piano and Brandon will serenade me with the song Jesse sang to Becky to apologize. We are going to fit in so well at GF!:rotfl2:

Julia almost chose GF Cafe as her "one restaurant choice" for that extra dining credit, but then decided against it since we were already going to the resort once. Had I known their food was this yummy, I may have pushed for it more!

I love your pictures as it turned dark. Especially the pictures of whiny Bruce and annoyed Matt. Those are classics, lol! Seriously, though, those shots of night time are gorgeous. I love the moon off the water.

YAY! It's smells so good in there! You will be very happy walking on in there!

YES PLEASE, and if you do recreate it, please put this on video. Perhaps I will make Matt recreate it with me, hahahaha. Oh Uncle Jesse, he was just too cool for school. Jesse and the Rippers forever.

The food is really good there! Not my favorite one in the world, but also really great and I would totally eat there again!

Hahaha, yeah, they were whiny Wendys! But they survived, hahaha... at least it was a good time to take some photos of things being all pretty at night!

I love logging on and seeing Dani updates!

Oh hey, Matt's awesome Oswald twins with Rachel shirt!

That sounds like a perfect morning in AK! That park really deserves more guests who can appreciate it like that.

I LOVE MATT'S TATTOO. It turned out so good!

Fish & Chips, yes please. Always been a tradition in my family.

Love the turtles, the monorail and the Grand Floridian.

That dinner looks amazing! I might be adding that to my list of restaurants to try!

I hate waiting for the boats when things like that happen. Womp, womp. At least there's a fun night at MK ahead!

HOORAY! And I love seeing Rachel replies!!

OSWALD TSHIRT TWINS FOREVER. I seriously love that t-shirt, easily my favorite one he owns!

It was a perfect morning in AK! And yeah, Matt's tattoo rules!

I love those Fish & Chips... and would like some for lunch now!

Agreed, all 3 of those things are some of my favorite things in life!

That dinner was really good! Plus it's at the GF, so you can't go wrong!

Yeah, it is a bummer, but we definitely kept ourselves amused in line, so that was at least good!

Ahahahaaha, glad you enjoyed the story!! And yeah, I definitely get it. I’ll probably use my phone and camera combined to get pictures and video, and as she doesn’t have a phone I guess it makes sense!

AH! WHAT?! WOW!! I do get that feeling though! One of my best BOG ceiling pics was a cell phone one!

The tattoo looks amazing!! Glad that he changed the touch up til after! I didn’t realize til last week that I had booked a tattoo removal appt for the day before leaving…that won’t work now…baha!! Make sure it gets COATED in sunscreen while you’re down there!! Haha!

I refuse to get into Vinylmations because I know how addicted I would get and I just don’t need something else to spend money on while in Disney aha. I do love the Beauty and the Beast ones though, I’m dying for the bimbettes!!

YUM! Best fish and chips ever, I love it there! Yay for new friends! I do love it when that kind of chatting happens at Disney. New friends everwhere!

They braved a waterpark in Jan?? I would have been freezing! Then again they probably heat the water…and I guess it is Florida, I didn’t realize it was only one closed I totally thought it was both.

CUUUUUTE turtles!!

Dear baby jesus, I legit teared up at the pictures of the GFlo, it’s just so beautiful and wonderful! I will stay there someday. As much as I want to now, I’d also like to save it for my wedding hotel bahaha!

Love Basin!! I picked up some face wash/toner/lotion last trip and it has made my skin feel/look SO NICE that I’m so in love and cannot wait to get back and buy more! Awesome pin trades!!

Dinner looks amazing!! I did want to book Mom and her friend a nice lunch there on the last day to celebrate her friends bday but I saw that Le Cellier was open and opted for that with all 3 of us instead! Ha! Again, everything at the GFlo is so awesome and looks so good!

Despite taking that long to get to MK, you definitely got some awesome pictures! Love the ones of Bruce and Matt!

Hahaha, no it makes total sense! But be warned, there is an upcoming update for our final today that involves and iPad lady! HAHAHA.

I agree, sometimes you can get the best photos on your phone, it's kind of crazy!

Yeah, I already told him we are slapping on a ton of sun tan lotion during our trip when we're in the pool! Totally necessary to make sure it stays lookin' good until his touch up appointment!

OMG, Vinylmation are terribly addicting, it's ridiculous. I have some of the BaTB ones that I wanted... but get this, they are coming out with a Little Mermaid series, so I hope you are prepared!!

New friends and fish & chips is kind of the best thing EVER.

Haha it was actually in the 80s while we were there, which is PLENTY warm for us! But yeah, they always have one park open. Sometimes they'll close it if it's too cold out, but it wasn't ever really cold during our trip!

I love the GF, it's beautiful and was the perfect place for the first part of our honeymoon!

I think I will end up picking up more stuff at Basin this time! It was the best, I love their scents.

You can't go wrong with Le Cellier! But the GFC is really a great place to eat! I just enjoyed the food and the location!

We were all in such good moods, it didn't really matter that much. We kept ourselves entertained in line! Hahaha.

Matt's tattoo is fabulous! Love it!

The fish n chips looks amazing, and you're right with the breading, it looked just about perfect to me. I like it light, not thick and crispy.

I'd actually never heard of Basin White, but I sense that my wallet will be in trouble. I have been buying myself "rewards" with every 10lbs I lose, and I foresee some soap in my future!

I thought so, too! The artist was awesome!

They really have AMAZING fish & chips! I am very much looking forward to grabbing lunch there again during our trip!

Basin White is at the Grand Floridian, and then there is Basin, which is larger I think, and that's in DTD! It's a verrryyyy dangerous place to go though, oh man! I think some soap in your future is a great idea though!

It's so nice when you can make new "friends" in Disney World just by sharing a table. :goodvibes The fish & chips look really good, too. I don't think I have ever gotten them from there, but I might have to!

I love the GF, not gonna lie. It's SOOOOO pretty! And yeah, it's fancy, but I mean it's still in the middle of WDW, so I just don't see feeling THAT out of place! That will be cool if you get to stay there once you are DVC! I bet those units will be beautiful.

The food at the GFC looks good to. You are making me so HUNGRY! :rotfl: That pasta dish looks right up my alley.

I know, right?! I love that part of Disney! People can be really lovely and friendly! But the fish & chips, you gotta try them! They're SO good!

The GF is beautiful! It's fancy, but it's still in Disney World, so I don't get why people think it's not "Disney" enough. But yeah, we stayed there for a few nights of our honeymoon and we loved it so much... I just want to go baaaack.

GFC food is amazing! I think I might have to try that pasta dish next time because it looks SO good!

I know! The Mansion is more of a lighter purple, the ghosts light blue, and the green in the background was a last minute decision! The original green was going to be darker, but it would have ended up blending into the black too much and would have looked muddy, so they went with a lighter green instead!

And yes, those turtles were very organized in their ways of eating, hahaha.

The food was super good, I highly suggest checking it out!

And yeah, no kidding, but we survived, and I wouldn't have gotten such nice photos if we hadn't waited, so I guess there's good in it!

I was so jealous that you there AND that you are MOVING THERE! I mean, how cool is that?! BUT EVEN BETTER, we have a trip to enjoy here soon! YAYAYAYAYAYY!

I'm super pumped! I can't even wait to be in Disney and be in our happy place!!

:goodvibes

HAHAHAHA you know what is funny?! I almost said Goldfish (crackers, NOT actual fish), because I thought the same thing! Hahahahaha. I am dying.

Oh man, usually my notes are good but the iPad was NOT a good thing for note-taking. I was also just too tired to care and go back and fix everything, hahaha. The previous year I had a notebook but I type faster than I write. Not sure about September, I'm considering just bringing my Macbook Air though.

IT IS DEVIIIINEEEEE. Seriously so good.

Thank you very much!!

Haha!

Thank you very much!!

I agree, we have met some wonderfully nice people in Disney World, and it's awesome when that happens!

It's NEVER too late! And honestly, I still have some updates to get through.. AND I will be writing another TR for our September trip, so you'll get to basically not wait too long on another TR to read, YAY!! But thank you for reading it and enjoying my TR! Such a wonderful comment, thank you!

Basin is amazing and totally worth popping in!

HAHA I love Grumpasaurus! I might have to steal that one!

Yeah, his tattoo rules... and now I want one!

Ohhhh I saw SO many Toronto fans walking around downtown during those days! I work right in the heart of downtown so I'm out and about during lunches (love that Pike Place is a few blocks away from me, yay!)... but I SO agree with you on the hills! They're kind of the worst. I always walk to the streets that don't have massive hills, hahaha. But I love Safeco! They have amazing food and the field itself is just awesome!

Dani!! Just checking in to tell you that of COURSE I'm still here and reading along, it's just that my lack of computer makes it a little harder to comment. (I'm currently on my iPod.) Hahaha. But obviously I'm loving it! Hopefully I'll be able to get back to my regular commenting soon!

YAY! I figured the the computer issues that you can't comment as much, so don't even worry about it. I know you're still reading along! :goodvibes

Chapter Fifty-One: "I'm just SHOWBOATIN' AROOUUUUNNNDD THE WOOOORLD!"
Day 9: January 25th, 2013

So after our crazy trip around the Seven Seas Lagoon, we finally arrived at Magic Kingdom!

Upon arrival, Bruce and Amy headed over to go get their ear hats! I really needed to run to the bathroom, so I headed over there, then came back and found Matt. They still had some time to wait but also had to run to the bathroom, so Matt and I took this as an opportunity to go say hello to Mickey and Minnie, since there was only a 5 minute wait!

We walked through the queue and it was just Mickey flying solo tonight, but that's okay, because Mickey's my main man anyway (no offense, Minnie).

file_zpsf0d56dc7.jpg

Mickey REALLY loved our ear hats, and he was very adorable about it.

file_zps7f573991.jpg

We ended up with a few adorable photos with him, as well!

file_zps5d65d844.jpg

file_zpsf476636b.jpg

It was actually a pretty quick interaction, but we were pretty okay with it since we needed to go out and meet Bruce and Amy. We said goodbye to Mickey, then headed outside where we found Bruce and Amy proudly sporting their awesome German ear hats!

I really wanted to get a nice photo of the two of them together, but Bruce had other plans...

file_zpsc8e6fd03.jpg

HAHAHA this photo makes me laugh... a lot. Bruce is kind of hilarious.

While we were laughing, I got this photo which I thought was pretty adorable (and yes, you may remember, it did make an appearance in our trip video!)..

file_zpsd0891a46.jpg

After taking their photos, I set up my camera and asked if Bruce would take a photo of the back of mine and Matt's ear hats. I have this weird little tradition every year to get a photo of the back of our ear hats with our names displayed, with something really awesome displayed in the backgrounds. 2011 it was Splash Mountain, 2012 it was the castle during the day (but the PhotoPass photographer didn't seem to understand what I was asking him to do so they came out awkward), and this year it was the castle at night.

Bruce took what ended up being one of my absolute favorite photos of the entire trip... and it's now hanging upstairs in an 8x10 frame!

file_zps1bc54bb9.jpg

I LOVE the bokeh and how that photo captures the magic of Magic Kingdom at night. Seriously, that photo just makes me so so happy every time I look at it.

After Bruce took our photo, we went and got PhotoPass photos with all of our ears on... and guess what? THEY DIDN'T MAKE IT ONTO THE PP CARD.

I was actually really bummed out about this because it was the only time all 4 of us had our ear hats on and I was so excited about having photos together... Yeah, no. Gone. This is the one thing that frustrates me about PhotoPass; when your photos just go missing or don't get scanned onto your card. I try to have the photographer take photos with my camera usually, but I was getting kind of lazy about it towards the end of our trip. Oh well...

We headed on over to Space Mountain because everyone really wanted to go on it. We also picked up Fast Passes, as well!

file_zpse6bab125.jpg

Oooof course, lucky me, got stuck in the very front. WOMPWOMP. Amy was dying laughing though while sitting behind me, listening to my screams of terror.

file_zpse830f5fb.jpg

After Space Mountain, we decided to head over to the Haunted Mansion. As we walked past the entrance to New Fantasyland, I happened to see a group of girls nearby... and one of them looked pretty familiar! In fact, it was PrincessJess/Disneyfreak508 from the DIS! She had just started her CP, and I mentioned on twitter if I saw her I'd say hello, which she told me to definitely say hey... so I went over and really quickly said hi. She was with a group of other CP girls, and we were on the move for some Haunted Mansion time, so we chatted briefly before parting ways.

It was very nice to meet Jess, and funny that I ran into her!

We made it to the Haunted Mansion and decided to walk through the extended queue, even though there was literally no line. It was a good time to get some photos with no one around anyway!

51f0dda4-721d-4f0c-9753-10aef14a38aa_zps0637085c.jpg

Of course, I had to try to take a photo of the bride's ring in the queue... but my camera was being uncooperative because it was SO dark out, so this is the best you're going to get:

file_zpsc1c47883.jpg

After enjoying a lovely ride with our favorite ghosts, we stopped outside of the Haunted Mansion for some photos. I wanted to get a few of us near Matt's favorite attraction in the whole wide world!

file_zps60757b45.jpg

file_zps7f9e43ad.jpg

I'm particularly fond of this next one, since it's kind of perfect...

file_zps7c93b42a.jpg

After taking photos, we walked through Liberty Square, where I took a photo of the poop road.

file_zpsbc9221b0.jpg

What is the poop road, some of you may ask? Well for one, it's the name I just gave it... but really, It's the part of the street in Liberty Square where they made the pavement colored different to represent the sewage that people would throw out their windows back in the day. So clearly, a photo of said poop road was necessary.

We headed BACK over to Space Mountain because we had FPs to use from earlier, and the crowds were so low, it was a beautiful thing. We were all having so much fun, we were just dancing as we walked and being so happy to be in our favorite place.

As we were walking back over towards Adventureland, Bruce decided to run away from us. If you watched the video we made, you'll remember at the VERY end in the Bonus Material section where Bruce literally just runs away from us, not moving his arms. Yeah, I have NO idea why he did this but we were DYING. He seriously ran away from us, arms NOT moving, and he kept going past the Carousel, running away with people staring at him!

We were laughing so hard, because it was so random!

Once we finally found Bruce, we decided a little Pirates was necessary! On our way, we tried to find Matt a churro, because he really wanted one, but everything was closed. Wompwomp.

file_zpsfec29892.jpg

Unfortunately, while in the queue for Pirates, Bruce decided to run away again, hahahaha. That also shows you how short the lines were; it was awesome!

We then headed out towards the hub, where I took another night photo of Tomorrowland.. I LOVE Tomorrowland at night all lit up, it's so pretty!

file_zpsd980c390.jpg

We left Magic Kingdom and went over to the bus stop, because the line for the monorail was kind of insane, even though we were planning on some EMH fun over at Epcot!

While waiting for the bus, Matt did a sassy pose kick!

file_zps7dec05db.jpg

He was seriously being hilarious this night... and later on, he debuts his new Showboatin' dance, hahaha.

I also took photos of the lovely pins I'd picked up! Can't find anything wrong with a little Muppets and Pluto action, right?!

A bus showed up not too much later and we took it over to the Yacht Club! It's the first stop out of Beach Club and Yacht Club, so we hopped off there since it'd be faster to just walk over to Epcot.

THIS, my friends, is where the infamous SHOWBOATIN' DANCE WAS BORN!

So basically, we are just all having a fun time, strolling through the Yacht Club, when Matt starts doing this RIDICULOUS dance, and says in this 1920s announcer voice, "I'm just showboatin' AROOOUUUUND THE WOOOOORLD!"

Cue ALL of us dying laughing.

I have NO idea where Matt came up with this dance, but it was just absurd.

So of course, I whip out my camera and tell Matt that he HAS to do it again... because it's just too good not to get on video! Mind you, by this point we are nearly on the boardwalk, with people walking by us, but that doesn't matter! YOU MUST SHOWBOAT AROUND THE WORLD!

To refresh all of you on what this dance looked like, here is the actual video I took (and don't worry, the video starts right at the Showboatin' part)...

Hahahaha, I still don't know how he does that dance, because body parts are movin' all over the place there, but needless to say, it had Amy, Bruce, and me all in absolute stitches.

And this is where the TR title was born, alongside the pooping incident!

Anyway, Matt showboated us right on over to Epcot for some Extra Magic Hours snack time! We were all in the mood for some tasty food, so we hit up the place we love the most... Les Halles in France!

What'd we end up getting? Roule Au Fromage. Only the most delicious garlic and cheese on a baguette roll.

OH MY GOD. This was SO good. So so good. Like, "wish I had eaten it earlier in the trip" good. It's warm and cheesy and just amazingly delicious. If you're a garlic bread fan, this is for you!

After we ate our delightful rolls, we headed over to buy Matt a DUFFY!!! Okay, back story on this... we've always thought Duffy was kind of adorable. I know some people think he's awful and hate him, while others think he is adorable and just the cutest.

We fall into camp B. After some encouragement, Matt finally bought him. He'd been on the fence forever during our trip as to whether or not he should get one, and I obviously made him get one.

YEAH, my husband has a Duffy.. and so do I (I bought mine after our trip). Go ahead and try to hate on us, hahaha.

After getting Duffy (and I actually have no idea where the heck we bought him, my TR notes got bad towards the end), we strolled around World Showcase... and stopped for another snack. Because when you hit the end of your Disney trip and realize there are a bunch of snacks you didn't get to try, you stop whenever you can! So we were on a mission to eat some delicious snacks in World Showcase.

So what snack did we have in mind?

FUNNEL CAKE!

Why is funnel cake so darn good? I mean, seriously... You can't go wrong with it! We picked some up in The American Adventure and it was perfect to split between the two of us.

We munched on our food and continued on, stopping by Karamell Kuche for Bruce and Amy so they could pick up some goodies. Both Matt and I were BEYOND full, so we skipped out on it.

We continued on with our evening, stopping by Mexico so I could pick up my Mexico t-shirt! And I somehow failed to take a photo of it, wompwomp. But it's the green Mexico pavilion t-shirt that they came out with for Epcot 30. It's pretty amazing... and I actually also have the UK one, as well, that Matt's parents picked up for me during their Disney World trip in February.

BUT ANYWAY, we just enjoyed World Showcase at night for the final time, and it was a perfect way to end our day of fun..

We headed back to Beach Club and said good night to Bruce and Amy. Because tomorrow was going to be our last day, and we had a VERY early flight on Sunday, we decided to pack up as much as we could this night so we could enjoy our last day in Disney and not have to worry about packing everything!

Tomorrow, we enjoy our final day in Disney World and finally meet some amazing friends!

The sewage trail is one of my favorite things in Frontierland. Not that I like sewage. But I like that they thought it should be there! :)

Lol oh my gosh about his dance. He is so embarassed in that video. Haha! Too funny!!!

Love your night at Mk. Those shots with the back of your hats are absolutely perfect! While my boyfriend is a huge disney fan too he would never wear a mickey hat :( Sad!!!

That update cracked me up. Bruce's face in the first earhat pic and Matt's sassy little dance.

This update really had it all, delicious food too. I haven't seen that cheese bun thingee before, I will write it in my to-try notebook, haha.

Your pic in front of the castle is ah-mazing! No wonder it's framed.

Aw, you thought about me?!? I geeked out on that. :bitelip: I actually think of you often b/c trollie is still in my car window, so sometimes out of the blue I will notice him and smile, thinking about the obsession you almost started! I have only gotten one vinyl since, but I'm so tempted! It's only b/c my pocketbook doesn't agree that I don't! :p

Ok, onto the real important stuff... the photos!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the castle AND HM shots with your ears. I'm considering ears just to do this! WHY do you continue to try and make me spend money Dani?!?! ;) AND, did you coach Bruce? He seriously did a lovely job framing them in both shots, in a way that most wouldn't. most people would just try to put the hats smackdab in the middle, but they are beautifully placed in the shots so the composition is just stunning! Yep, you will see some similar shots in February 2014 from me! I'll give you credit, I promise! :thumbsup2

Thank you for making me drool all over my keyboard as well. I have never heard of the Roule au Fromage, but anything with FROMAGE is good in my book! :lmao: The funnel cake, however, I have tasted and it is fantastic! Oh so good! There goes the drooling again, I'm like Pavlov's dogs.

Love the shots with Mickey too, they are really cute! You guys are so much FUN, I think that is why everyone loves the TR's so much Dani...you really capture that feeling I get at Disney of being whoever I want to be, letting go, having fun, and being a kid. It's why I keep going back! :goodvibes

I read where you talking a while back about how Pin trading is very expensive. We are taking our girls in January for their first trip. Since they don't yet have any pins to trade, I wanted to get them some to seed their collection.
I found that you can buy them on ebay very cheap. You can get a lot of 25 pins for around $12.
I plan on getting some for them. Since they will be trading them for different pins, it doesn't really matter what they get to start with.

Hi! I found your video (on youtube) before your TR, while I was on the very early stages of planning my upcoming trip. I showed it to my travel partner to get her excited, and she said (I quote), "OMG, the video has such a good vibe, makes me so happy!"

Good job! :)

Ahh what great pictures of you and Matt in front of the Castle and the Mansion! Such great shots. I also looooove that picture of Spaceship Earth.

I also think Duffy is precious. I was thinking about getting him on my next trip, but I'm leaning toward getting a Pluto pillow pet instead. I'm also pretty tempted to do some showboatin' of my own but I fear it'll just be subpar compared to Matt's! Too funny!
