We just pulled into the drive-way less than an hour ago and I ran in to the computer and onto the DIS boards.

You know it's one thing not be able to Dis for 2 weeks because you're in WDW (and of course you're recording stuff for your trip report) and not to be able to DIS and you away totally unDisney related. The withdrawal was terrible!

But the trip was great....the cottage was really nice (yes Scratch I do like your cottage better!)
Down East was great! - All my east coast Dis buddies, I thought of each one of you as I went through your area. If I'd have more time I would have planned to met you...for a cuppa tea, you just to stop by and say hi.

We did: Hartland, NB- Covered Bridge
St.Stephen, NB- Gagnon Factory Tour :earseek: :hyper: too much chocolate to eat at 8:30am:crazy2: :faint:
Saint John NB and the ferry to Digby N.S.:boat:
Digby to Lumenburg...for the tall ships......
Peggy's Cove NS
Pictou NS were going to take the ferry to PEI, but we weren't able to get loaded onto our ferry and so then instead of waiting 2 more hours we drove over THE BRIDGE- 13kms, man that's some bridge!
St.Anne PEI- for Famous Lobster Supper and onto Cavendish and the home of "Anne of Green Gables"
Back over the bridge to Shediac NB, couldn't find Sam,
Onto the "FlowerPot":flower1: or Hopewell Rocks/Cape NB, on the Bay of Fundy.- WAY cool!
Moncton, Magnetic Hill- cool!
Back across NB....through Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont (no stopping to see anything just driving) but verrry pretty mountain driving.

Very fun trip. LOVED the East Coast, loved the people...ate WAY to much food.

I'll post picture later.

Hi Wendy, welcome home! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip! I recognise some of those places you mentioned, that we visited many years ago.

We'll both have pictures to share at the next DIS meet! ::yes::

Sounds like an awesome trip, even though it had nothing to do with Disney!LOL

Ok, so now that everybody is back, shall we start thinking about that DISMeet?

Welcome back. Sounds like a great trip. Haven't done the bridge to PEI but would love too some time. Have done the ferry lots of times though.

We visited friends in New Hampshire and drove through Vermont and New Hampshire and thought it was really pretty too. Tons of trees!

Am up for a Dismeet anytime!!

Welcome back. Sounds like you had a great (& busy) trip. :wave2:

Welcome home Wendy. Your trip sounds great- we keep talking about an East coast trip but have yet to do it. Can't wait to see your pics.

Welcome back Wendy!!

Sounds like you had a fabulous trip!! I've never been out east but DH has for work and DD went on a high school trip there with the band. They both said how nice it was and how great the people are too!! Looking forward to seeing the pics!!:D

Welcome home, Wendy!! :sunny:

Sounds like a fantastic trip! :D

How was it going over The Bridge? Can you see over the sides?

Last time we went out east I was just a little kid. I do remember going to Magnetic Hill! It was cool! ::yes:: Way past time to visit out there again.

I look forward to seeing your pics!! :)

Maybe you should ask for a wireless laptop for Christmas? :smooth:

Drat....Wish I could have met up with you...Running a motel in Summer is a hard thing...Glad you had an awesome time...Us east coaters are so cool, are we not???

If anyone else comes towards Shediac, NB...I'll see if I can set up DISboards Rates...:p :hyper: :p

Glad you are back-safe and sound! Welcome home!

PLEASE tell me that you weren't in line for the Wood Island Ferry to PEI on the Friday before the long weekend...??? We were the 3rd last car on the ferry that afternoon, and felt soooo bad for the line-up of cars behind us...the other ferry was "delayed in crossing":( which meant two+ hour waits at least

I'm proud to call the Maritimes home:)
And it's wonderful to hear that everyone has enjoyed their stays with us!:)

:sunny:

No it wasn't me on the Friday before the long weekend. We tried to cross there on FRIDAY Aug 6. There was only one other RV ahead of us...it's pretty discouraging watching the Buses pull in, trucks, cars and seeing them up to the back doors of the ferry:guilty:and then not get on.

But the great thing about an RV is you just drive and then within the same wait time & ferry time your there and we got to see more of NS.

Snowwark- The bridge has sort of a curve to it, so you can see end to end but it wasn't the kind (like the Burlington Skyway) that you looked down at your side and could see below:hyper: (I don't like those kind)- It had nice concrete sides.::yes::
