OK, not really but I'd do it if this pain would go away. I have a bone spur that lays up against my spinal cord from time to time (like 3 or 4 times a week :furious: ) and when it happens the pain is amazing. Think having your leg plugged into an electrical outlet.

Nothing helps, not exercise, PT, medication (unless it's enough to knock me out) change in position, nada. The only good thing is sleep which must relax the muscles back there and allow the spur to move off the spinal cord.

I haven't had this now for the past two days. I DIDN'T MISS IT!!!

OK, rant over. You may now return to your regularly schedule programs. :p

My dd has one near her knee that has to be taken out. Will they do surgery for you?
I have screws in my left hip. When the arthritis flairs up I want to cut it off too. I feel your pain. :teeth:

My father had one in his shoulder, he had to have surgery to remove it. The doc that did the surgery said it was one of the biggest spurs he ever saw!

It took weeks to recover to the point he could go back to work, and a year for the pain from the surgery to completely go away (they had to dislocate his shoulder to get the spur out!) but the lingering pain from the surgery was way less than what the spur was causing to begin with. Overall it was worth it to have it taken out.

I hope you feel better, and the docs can find a way to help you!
