I'm going to a Pampered Chef party, what should I buy?

I have to laugh as I read this. Practically every post I am saying..."Oh yeah, I have that!" :rotfl2: The things I use most though are my large rectangular stone and the small bar pan that I use in the toaster oven. I never use my large covered baker or my mini loaf pan.....better think of something to make. I love my bamboo spatulas; they dont stain.

I have the ice cream scoop. I know, it's a random thing to own, but it's really the best ice cream scoop ever.

The things I use the most are the pizza stone, pizza cutter, small cutting board and the knives. Love them! We use to use our mandoline a lot but really haven't used it much lately as I don't like to put it together and then take it apart to wash...easier for me just to use a knife! I also like their spices. They had a caramel cruch spice that was really good on oatmeal.

I was trying to search because I had a pampered chef thread on here not too long ago and got great ideas but I can't search?

MTE! For a minute there, I thought this was the same thread.

I love my folding wire rack. I use it mainly to cool baked goods after they come out of the oven. What's nice about it is that it's much larger than the other rack I have, but it doesn't take up much space in my cabinet because it folds flat. You can cool a mountain of cookies on it and use it to decorate them with icing. When you pipe icing onto cookies, the excess icing just falls through the rack so the cookie bottoms remain clean. I place a sheet of wax paper under the rack when I use it for this purpose and throw it out when I'm done.

One item I bought from PC that I wouldn't recommend is the covered powdered sugar shaker. It's great in theory, but poorly executed--especially for PC. The sifting screen is too fine so it clogs a lot, and the cover doesn't screw on, so you really can't take it with you. So if, for example, you made cream puffs and wanted to dust them before serving, this gadget doesn't do the trick well because the cover pops off too easily for traveling.

the only thing I have of PC that I actually use are the pot strainer (goes on any size pot) and the apple slicer

Love my mandolin. I use it a ton in the summer to slice potatoes, then I cook them in foil packets on the grill with a little butter, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. I just stick it in the dishwasher. I have 3 or 4 mini serving spatulas, they're great! I use the small and large scoops for cookies, muffins, and cupcakes. I have the cheese grater, the measure all cup, a few pieces of stoneware.

The only thing I've been disappointed with they don't seem to make anymore. It was a plastic serving bowl that was supposed to keep things cold. But it didn't.

i have the apple slicer/corer (great for making pies:thumbsup2) and the pizza stone, both of which i love BUT-

that said, has anyone else ever noticed how much pampered chef stuff you can find at goodwill and salvation army stores??? i don't usualy go into the kitchen supply areas but the last few times i was floored at all the expensive stuff that looks like it's never been used that they are selling (maybe gifts people have received???).

anyway-i suggest the cookbook. it's got the stuff they feed you at the parties that tastes so good (family loves the taco ring and brownie pizza:thumbsup2:thumbsup2).

:goodvibesMy favorite pampered chef item is the ice cream scoop. It has the thermal stuff in it that makes it just roll the ice cream right out. No more digging and chipping the ice cream out of the container.

My Favs:
Spoonula
toast tongs
baking stones
zyliss food chopper
zyliss cheese grater
garlic presss
handled chopper thingy that cuts things wavy--of course that is the technical term! :lmao:

Totally would not get the oil spritzer--plastic and oil eventually causes a sieze and it doesn't work. No good way to clean it either!
