Our last trip I had hoped to put what I needed in the pockets of my cargo capris but it just didn't work, so I still had to use my cross body bag.

Wow - I didn't realize this until I read your post. Last year (February '14) was my first "bagless" trip. Hmmmmmm. It was also our first trip with kids. Can you draw a correlation there?

It was truly a wonderful thing. Looking forward to once again being bagless in about 27 days!!

i was just thinking today about whether I could be bagless - have a kid free vacation coming up soon.

My only quandary is what to do about rain poncho or sweater/jacket. january isn't always warm or dry. And I doubt my cell phone will fit in a secure pocket in my jeans.

How do you do bag free if it's cold at the start or end of the day, or rain is likely?

Tie your sweater or jacket around your waist. Go poncho less. Buy one if you absolutely must.

I'm inspired to try!

While I'll miss seeing characters with DS (makes him really glow), it will be freeing to not have the camera or wait in the slow non fp character meet and greets. And no bag check, too?! I'm not sure what I will do with all the extra time.

I did that on our recent trip a few weeks ago! It. was. awesome. It was a kid-free trip, so totally do-able. I won't attempt it on our upcoming May trip, but it was so, so nice and freeing. Have fun!!!

During my November trip, I went to the park twice without a bag and I LOVED IT!! So nice to walk in without waiting in a bag line and nothing to worry about while riding.

I felt like a kid being bagless and kid-free. Is that what it feels like to be kids at Disney? Not responsible for anything but having fun? Because that was AWESOME.

We had a kids free trip in December. Between no kids and Magic Bands, I was able to go bagless. I think that it helped to be in the Winter, normally I need to carry extra sunscreen.

I've been going bag free for years and I love it! Even though I have 4 kids, I just don't feel the need to take much of anything with me. If I had one in diapers, I just tossed a few diapers and wipes in the stroller. I also toss a bottle of sunscreen in the stroller.

Now that my youngest is 4, we won't use the stroller anymore. So now I really don't have anything to haul at all. I can have both hands completely free to hold hands with my little ones as we walk through the parks.

Would love to go with out a bag. But I bring. My own drinks with me heavy yea. But I hate paying 3+for a drink

Never could figure what the big deal is about bag check...an extra 5 minutes at the most...

I don't need much, but I sure as heck ain't honing to cram my pockets full just to eliminate bag check..even with just my camera, I happily go thru bag check....I'll wear a small hipster just for a few items, easily checked and then nothing weighing down my pants...
