I'm going a little nutty planning!

I think I'm driving myself batty.

Everyone on these boards said to get the Passporter and the Unofficial Guide (great advice btw I'm SO glad I did) but I thought, "oh, I'll never use those pockets in the passporter.

Now, I've got to make two copies of everything. One copy goes in the passporter pocket and one in my master file. When I find phone numbers I've forgotten, I've got to write it in the passporter, in the master file, copy the number in my cell phone and in my itinerary.

I think I'm making this harder than it should be. It's making me a little nuts. Should I stop?? How do I stop? Am I going to be this way for roughly 3 more months?? Urg!

Welcome to our world!

I have been this way since March planning our October trip & when we return from that I will be planning our August 2006 trip. I think alittle good planning at WDW goes a long way. It's better to be an over planner than to go there & not get into any restaurants, miss show, not ride a popular ride you wanted because you didn't use fast pass...Enjoy!

I've been planning our august trip for months and wanted to start planning which places we will eat for next august's trip by going through all the menus at allearsnet, my DH said i am out of control and need help!!!1

You'll probably be that way for longer than 3 more months. I started out the same way, keeping copies of everything for the trip. Then I found myself referencing information from the previous trip; finding ways to make the next trip better. Now I have databases that track showtimes at each of the parks, what rides are Fast Pass, EMH morning, EMH night, what restaurants are hard to get seating for, our favorite rides, etc, etc, etc. My thought is that once you are a Disney planning nut you just sorta' stay that way. After a while you don't even realize your nuts, you just get used to it.

Since this is our first trip and I am the planner, I have been looking over everything I can get my hands on!!! Now everything seems to be running together in my mind. Which ride or show is in which park, where the restaurants are located how we are going to get from one place to another. I think I may need to make a spread sheet of my own to try and straighten it all out again.......Oh yeah!!!!! A real reason to work on the trip some more!!!!
