I'm finally sticking to my WW and have lost some weight! I'm so excited!!

I just weighed in today have in the last 6 weeks have lost 9.4 pounds!!
I have joined many times and have not been very dedicated! But this
time I just feel inspired and have done better!! I was so scared I hadn't lost
today but I lost 2.4 this week!! I just had to post about it because I'm
happy!!! :banana: The fear that I'm going to keep on messing up is not there as much this time and I'm just moving forward!!! :banana:

My last Disney trip was in September and while I have always been overweight, I have never weighed this much!! Needless to say, my feet hurt so bad that most of the days I was hobbling around the parks. It was so frustrating I just wanted to cry! I was at my favorite place in the world and all I could think about was when we could sit down again!

I hope to go back in December of 08 and I want to have a trip where I have tons of energy!!! I have lost weight before and I can't believe how much energy I had! It was awesome!!! That's what I want again!!

Also, there is a local amusement park that I have not been to in several years because they mainly have wooden roller coasters that I am afraid I won't fit into the seats. Last time I went it was a snug fit and I have gained about 50 pounds since then, so now I won't even attempt it. I did go one summer, but when my mom, dad, and sister rode, I waited for them at the exit in tears! Mad because I was scared to attempted it and mad because I had let myself get this way! That is no way to live!!

Before, when I was "trying" WW, if I messed up and ate something with too many points, I would say "I've blown it now" and would just eat myself sick for a few days. But for the past 6 weeks, if I've eaten something fattening, I just get right back on it! I'm so proud of myself for that!!!

This is exactly what I need to hear right now. I actually was doing okay on WW but then missed a meeting due to being away, then missed another one due to another committment. We have At-Work meetings. This week the leader had to miss the meeting. But I do the same thing as you used to do, if I overeat, then I just eat everything I see for a few days. I keep trying to start again, I guess the worse that will happen is nothing! I think you have given me some much needed motivation!

Me Too! I have joined WW so many times but I haven't been consistent for any length of time. Just hearing how you have done it for 6 weeks has motivated me to get going and be consistent. Christmas is 6 weeks away and that is a good goal for me... It will help me get through the holidays!

I have always thought to myself "I want to get this weight off and be an inspiration to someone!" So your kind words have made me really happy!!

I know this coming season is not going to be easy with all the holidays!
But I am determined not to eat for the next 2 months straight!!
I am going to let myself enjoy Thansgiving and Christmas meals with my side of the family and DH's side of the family. Just because I'm doing that does not mean I have to eat like a pig on all the days surrounding those events!!

My mom does weight watchers too and by only eating big meals on the holidays themselves, she manages to come out on the other side of the holiday season with at least a 5 pounds loss! That is my goal as well!!

I didn't gain all this weight overnight and I will not lose it overnight either. I'm trying to keep in my mind how proud I will be in 6 months when I can say that I have lost x amount of weight, or 12 months or however long!!

I would love to keep encouraging those of you who have read this and get encouragement from you all in return! I keep telling myself "I've attempted this so many times before and failed, and I'm sick of it! I'm ready to finally make a change!!"

Congratulations! I've lost 25lbs on WW and it is such a reasonable plan. Keep it up!! You are worth the effort in making a healthier you!
 
What a wonderful thread! Congrats to the OP for your weight loss! I am a newbie to WW. I am an on-line member and love it! I have lost 10.6 pounds in the past two weeks that I have been on this program and I feel so alive right now!

I lost a ton of weight doing low carb a few years ago but it was all deprivation and tight lipped willpower plus tons and tons of exercise. Now I'm trying for something a little more balanced and that I know I can live with. I still work out but now it's 5 or 6 times per week and I haven't had to give up anything I love. This is a great program and I just wished I would have tried it earlier.

You are all so inspiring. I love to hear WW success stories and hope to be one myself someday. :)
