I'm bringing my diploma straight to the The Mouse! A June PTR-6/18 TR Link!!

Hi Kyle! We've been enjoying hearing about your trip plans from Miss Lauren! (and now, if I was immature, and we were all actually sitting in a room together chatting, I would whisper very loudly: SHHH!! Guys, stop talking about him now!) Heh...jk! We've been getting to know you through Lauren, and I think you two make a lovely couple!! :welcome: to the Dis!

Thanks for the welcome! I hope everything that was said about me was good. Thanks for the compliment as well!

Hi Kyle!! Welcome!!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the welcome as well! It was a good weekend and I'm already looking forward to this one.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. We are getting a noreaster as we speak so it sounds like a snow day for me tomorrow. Good because I can catch up on sleep and get some work done, bad because I am SO sick of the snow!!:cold:

I thought I'd take some of my time snowed in to continue our list of plans. Here is what we want to do at DHS!

Must Do's:
1. Tower of Terror-if you read my last TR, you know I'm a little bit in love with this one. We do it as much as we can!
2. Toy Story Mania-I am determined to win this time. Watch out Kyle ;) He always wins at everything but I'm feelin' lucky!
3. Beauty and the Beast-Haven't seen this show in years, and it's my favorite Disney movie so it's a must do this time.
4. Rockin' Roller Coaster-so we can visit our good buddy Steven Tyler and I can scream my head off when the ride launches
5. Great Movie Ride-Our quest to find a good tour guide continues! Stay tuned to see if we succeed...
6. Back Lot Tour- this was closed for refurb in January so we have to hit it up this time, DF enjoyed it a lot when he did it for the first time in 08 :)
7. MuppetVision 3D-Because it's so darn cute, my favorite 3D movie by far, and we need more glasses pics for the TR :3dglasses
8. Animation Studio-I really want to do the drawing class, I missed out on it the last two trips so I'm not skipping it this time
9. One Man's Dream-We find this to be SO interesting, I find cool new things in here all the time
10. Fantasmic! I haven't seen this in years and I've never done it with DF so we're excited for this one
11. Star Tours-Not really a favorite, but it will be Star Wars weekends after all :yoda:

Maybe's: (stuff to do if we have time)

1. The Little Mermaid-I haven't seen this since I was a little girl and I'd like to go back if time allows
2. American Idol-I'm honestly still not really clear on what this is but since it's new we might check it out
3. Character meet n greets-I kinda want to see Monsters Inc., Woody and Buzz over by TSM and maybe the cars characters because I think they're really cute, but not if the lines are way long

Skipping:
1. Indiana Jones-Did this last year and my brother got to be in it...nothing can top that and we do this every few years anyway
2. High School Musical-Never really caught onto this one, as sad as that makes my students :lmao:
3. Lights Motors Action: Did this last year, don't really wanna go again as cool as it is

I think that covers everything...coming up soon, what we plan to do at AK :)

Oh cmon, American Idol? Do we have to? ;)

Club Cool is a soda station at Epcot where you can try all different kinds of soda from around the world (China, Germany, Italy, Mexico, etc.). It is very fun, the soda is free, a few of them are very yummy, but the Italian one, The Beverly, is NASTY! I can't even describe it, it is so gross. I tricked my DF into trying it by telling him that Beverly was my favorite one and he had to try that first.
He is gonna be mad at me for posting this again, but here is his face, this is his genuine reaction after his one little sip of it:
http://photopost.wdwinfo.com/data/74...81100_0036.jpg

Your Disney Fact of the day idea is so cute! The Grey Goose slush is on my list of things to try next time, I did the Grand Manier one in January and loved it. And I tried a dole whip for the first time too, they are amazing!

Ok, so "The Beverly" and Club Cool were my "Disney Fact of the Day" for Friday, but instead of saying how bad it was, I said I heard it was the best one and we have to try it! :yay: I will probably end up ruining the secret though!

As for the Disney facts, I haven't done any in the last couple of days. I haven't been in a "Disney type of mood." Work has stunk this week!!

I was warned that it would taste awful but still tried it anyway...it was a decision I instantly regretted. It's really the worst tasting thing ever.

Hi Kyle! So I'm guessing you're not TOO mad at her for tricking you, right? I'm just trying to make sure my BF's not going to be too terribly mad at me! I think it's going to be hilarious though!

Oh cmon, American Idol? Do we have to?

:rotfl2:

No, we closed our NJ office. However, yesterday was my first day to commute back my new PA office. What a welcome present I got with the snow!! My boss from NJ IM me at about 2:30pm to tell me I should leave. That was kind of a nice surprise.

Thats great you got out early! But snow is never fun even if it gets us out of work!

We got some snow yesterday too. Not sure what our total was, but much more than we usually get! The temps are suppose to be up to the 50's/60's by this weekend so I'm sure it'll all be gone quickly.

I'm with you on the American Idol Experience. Not really sure how it'll work. I think you must be able to attend different shows throughout the day during which time contestants will compete and the audience gets to judge. And then they have a big show at the end of the night? :confused3

It sounds like everyone got the snow! I can't wait for it to warm up so it can melt!

Yeah I have no clue how AI is gonna work either, I'm not a huge fan of the show but I usually try every new attraction at least once so I guess we'll do this one.

Oh cmon, American Idol? Do we have to? ;)

See above comment. :) Yes, we do. I'm sure you'll love every minute ;)

:rotfl2:

I'm sorry work has stunk for you! I have been a bit busy myself this week so sadly not a lot of time to think Disney, so I hear ya.

That is so funny that you're tricking your BF! I hope you can pull it off, it'll be so funny if you do so have the camera ready!

Hey everyone! Sorry I have not been on here a lot lately, school has been very busy but as of one hour from now I will be on Spring Break which will give me more free time :goodvibes Hope you're all doing well, time to continue my PTR.

Last, but not least: AK Plans! Here is what we plan to do there. This park is my least favorite if I had to rank them, but that doesn't mean I don't still love it. The scenery here is definitely as great as the attractions :)

Our Favorites-The stuff we have to do every time:
1. Expedition Everest-we rode this three times last trip in like 2 hours, can't get enough of it!
2. Kilimanjaro Safari-although I am admitadly getting sick if the big/little red story line, you can't beat the animals
3. Dinosaur-anyone else watch CSI? One of the actors is in this preshow and he cracks me up every time
4. Primeval Whirl-I've heard people call the old school carnival area tacky, but I love it!
5. Finding Nemo the Musical-because I've heard it is awesome and we've never seen it
6. It's Tough to Be a Bug-You know me and those 3D movies, this one is adorable!
7. Camp Minnie Mickey-We are only doing one character meal but I want a chance to see a few more and we haven't been here in awhile
8. Kali River Rapids-We don't normally do this because it's too cold in Dec./Jan., but we are gonna wanna get wet in the summer heat!
9. Maharajah Jungle Trek-We missed it last trip and want to see the tigers again

Some Maybes:
1. Flights of Wonder-I think DF said he wanted to see this show again? We did it last time and it was pretty cool
2. Festival of the Lion King-We usually don't do too many shows, and we're already planning on seeing Nemo, but this one is pretty cool so we'll see
3. Rafiki's Planet Watch-DF has never done this and I kinda like the train ride, so maybe if we have time

Skipping (at least on this trip!)
1. Triceratop Spin-not a huge fan of this one for some reason, I think I mentioned this before but the only ride like this we like is Magic Carpets
2. Pangani Forest Trail-We've spent a lot of time here the last two trips, so this is a skip for now
3. The afternoon parade. We are not parade people unless it is Spectro

There you have it, a very comprehensive look at what we want to do this trip. You'll have to read my TR to see if we get to it all. I sure hope so! The June crowd level makes me nervous since we're used to an empty park, but we'll be happy either way!

Also, I'll be posting Sunday or Monday because Sunday morning at 7am I will be calling to make our ADRs!! :cheer2: Stay tuned for the list of our ressies, I can't wait!!

IMO, AK is the hottest parks out of them all...So make sure you drink plenty of liquids and eat something! Quite a few trips ago...I made the mistake of not eating breakfast before we got there..or drinking anything...and got sick...in the line for the Safari. EMBARASSING. :guilty:

Love your AK plans!! Number 8 should be Kali river rapids right? I know what you meant though :goodvibes. So is FOW worth putting on our list for AK? We have seen the bird show here at our local zoo and it was kind of cool. The birds do fly over you to different posts and they do tricks. Not sure if FOW was much better or not. Looking forward to seeing your ADR's soon.

Oh no you poor thing! I will definitely remember to do that, we've only been once in the summer time and do remember that AK was HOT. I always make sure to eat breakfast so hopefully I'll be ok!!

Oops I'm so glad you caught that thanks for telling me. I did mean Kali! Haha I fixed it now.

We thought that FOW was great, I'd never seen a bird show before so I didn't have anything to compare too, but I'm not a huge bird person so I wasn't expecting much and I still liked it a lot. We thought it was very cool. Plus, it is in the shade so it could be a nice break on a hot afternoon. You guys should check it out!

Great AK plans! I love Festival of the Lion King....it's a lot of fun, and air-conditioned! :) If y'all get a chance, I would definitely recommend it! I know the woman that plays the blue bird (Zazu?), at least some of the time. Her name's Gina!

I love your park plans! I agree that AK is HOT; we got there when they opened (last June) and luckily got most things done quickly. I actually think MK is the hottest park, though. There isn't much shade and the blacktop gets hot, quick. That was the only day I got sunburned and a bit over heated (MK day.)

Yay spring break! I wish I still had one of those!!

Thanks! Festival of the Lion King is a lot of fun, and you are right we are going to be looking for some AC! I saw it once, I love the music it reminds me of the broadway show. That is cool you know one of the actors!

I still have to work, but at least I don't have class!

I hope we can get through AK quickly. We have Jiko ADRs so we'll be heading over to AKL in the afternoon so we better!

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!

So today was the big day. I got to book my dining! I was very excited about this, I don't like that it isn't 180 days anymore so I was patiently waiting for this day. I thought to myself, I'll call right when they open and it will be all set. Piece of cake! Well, I was wrong lol. Here is the story...

So I set my alarm for 6:55 (since it was the first morning of daylight savings I was not a very happy camper about this  ), had my notes ready, and called right at 7:00 on the nose. The first time I called, I got disconnected. The second time I finally got through, and when I gave the CM my dates, he told me I hadn't gone through the automated prompts correctly and he had to transfer me to another department. The prompts only asked me to choose a language and say I was calling for reservations, which I did, so that was weird.

So I get put on hold...and wait..and wait...and wait more. I sat on hold for an hour before I tried calling again, thinking something was wrong. I again got transferred to another department and sat on hold for another 45 mins. They were playing park music from the rides, like Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain. At first I thought that was cute and fun, but then I got SO sick of them.

After almost two hours on hold, my mom woke up and very kindly offered to take over for me. I had to work today and I had to get in the shower, so I gave her all my notes and info and went to get ready. An hour later, as I was leaving for work, she had hung up and called the general dining number and spoke to someone who said that they were having huge problems with the new ADR system, they were really sorry, and that everyone was complaining to the supervisors about how long it was taking. She got back on the general line, I left for work. By the time Id made the 40 minute commute to the office, STILL no answer. Ugh. I was losing hope, thinking I'd never get what I'd want with it that busy, but ten minutes later she called back...she got through! AND she somehow managed to get almost everything I wanted!! I was so excited. Here is what she got:

Jun 6-Prime Time Cafe lunch, 1:05pm
Jun 7-Crystal Palace Breakfast, 8:55 am
Jun 8-Coral Reef dinner, 6:25 pm
Jun 10-Jiko dinner, 5:45 pm
Jun 11-Le Cellier dinner, 5:30 pm
Jun 12-Tony's dinner, 6:20 pm

The only thing that we didn't get that we wanted was Sci Fi lunch, it was all booked on the 6th when we wanted it so my mom took Prime Time for us instead. I was ok with it, but I knew DF wanted to try Sci Fi and I like the atmosphere there too. So I got home from work and called to try and get it for Jun 9th, the only day we didnt have a TS booked. After only 5 mins on hold, I got it!! So, I added Sci Fi lunch at 1:30.

That leaves us with a total of 8 TS (Jiko counts as 2) but only 7 credits. But we are keeping Prime Time for now, we might cancel it down the road or pay OOP because we do like it there a lot, so we'll see!

There's lots of places we want to try but don't have time for this trip. But there's the honeymoon for that! It was a struggle to get the ressies, but now I'm glad that we have everything we wanted, we got really lucky! We are now excited more than ever for the trip, we'll be eating very well that's for sure!!

I am so glad you got all of the adrs you wanted but boo that it was such a pain! Are you nervous about jiko too?

All caught up on your PTR now. So jealous that your sister gets to be a CM! Welcome Kyle to the DIS... I don't think I could get Josh on here, but he will read the occasional article. It's cute because he gets really excited about all of our DVC stuff, our confirmation letters for trips go right on the fridge. He actually made labels and sealed up all of our wedding invitations, can't believe it'sin 10 weeks.. time to send them all out.

I get that your tradtional and don't live together, but I'm way meaner. We DO live together and I've been making him practice celibacy...
I need to get back onto my workout plan but i worked 96 hours this past pay period and I was off for three days and I swear all I did is sleep and eat (bc I don't do much of that when at work, nursing isn't conducive to sitting or eating, ever, yuck). Plus DF is a sweetie and made me chili and pasta and bought sourdoguh bread and oreos for dinner when i woke up!

I can't believe you had to wait on hold that long! You have a lot more patience than I do....I would have held that 1st hour, called back and if something else happened, I wouldn't have waited, I give you a lot of credit! Persistance pays off!!:thumbsup2 You got some great ressies!!! We love Le Celliar :lovestruc and I can't wait to hear what you think about Jiko...I'm intersted in that for my September trip.

I hope you have a good week! Just think about it, if yesterday was 90 days...you're down to 89 today! Woohoo!!!!:cool1:

Wow - can't believe how much trouble you had getting through! Glad your mom finally did. :thumbsup2

And very interesting that you were able to get Le Cellier for dinner, but not Sci-Fi for lunch!

I am so glad you got all of the adrs you wanted but boo that it was such a pain! Are you nervous about jiko too?

Yay you are back Caitlin!! I'm a little nervous about Jiko because I'm slightly picky, but I'm going for the filet and mac n cheese. If they didn't have that, I wouldn't book it because it sounds like the perfect meal for me :) Plus, it has a dress code, so I'm gonna get a cute new sundress I think and dress up. That makes me look forward to it too, it'll be nice to get "dressed up" one of the nights!

It took awhile to get Kyle on here, it shows that he is becoming a Disney freak like me! It's cute that Josh gets into it too :) That's crazy you had to work so much, no wonder we didn't see you on here for awhile! I hope you are caught up on your rest, and it's so sweet of your DF to cook for you!!

How are wedding plans?! I'm so excited for you, you're so close!! :bride:

Hey Kristen!! I am told I have abnormal patience  I think being a teacher, it comes with the territory! But trust me, I was not pleased!!! You are right, it did pay off I'm so happy. We went with some nicer places and some places that we wanted just for something new or for the atmosphere. Le Cellier was the one we wanted most, I'm SO glad we got it!! Even the CM told my mom she was surprised we snagged it, and at a good time too. I'm def writing a TR so I'll tell you all about Jiko!

89 days, that's not bad at all, you're right! Is it bad that I want to get those mickey paint samples from Home Depot and make a countdown? Is 23 too old to do that?? :rotfl:

Wow - can't believe how much trouble you had getting through! Glad your mom finally did. :thumbsup2

And very interesting that you were able to get Le Cellier for dinner, but not Sci-Fi for lunch!

Hi Carissa! I said the same thing, it's so backwards that we got Le Cellier but Sci Fi was booked solid for the whole day. I told this to DF, and he reminded me that we are there for Star Wars weekends, maybe there's an event going on there for it? If so, that would be the place! I'm just glad we fit it in later in the week. :goodvibes

Wow, I can't believe how long you guys had to wait on hold! I'm glad you got everything you wanted, though!

Your AK plans look good. We didn't get to spend enough time there when we went and missed some of the stuff you have on your list.

You should definately make a countdown!!! We did for the "kids" but it may have been more for Mommy!! Shh.....:rolleyes1

Your secret is safe with me...I think I'm definitely going for it

Thanks irky!! That's too bad you missed on some stuff, but that just means more for next time :) The wait was tough but so worth it!!
