I'm booking my vacation today. Staying at Pop. Should I request a certain building or floor? I'll have a 3 year old with me so the closest to the buses/food court/pool would be best. Anyone know where I should request? They can't guarantee that you'll get it, right? They just put your preferences in the system or something?

thanks! :earsboy:

Hi!

Don't have to pay for preferred to be close to food court at POP. Requesting "Close to Food Court, Courtyard or pool view" would help to get a room close to everything. It's general enough request to give them some options for you and will probably put you in 70's or 50's - both about a 3-4 minute walk from the nearest rooms to the food court/bus.

Have a great time at POP!

I stayed at the all stars a couple of times if you want a room near pool and food court ask for a premier room it costs abt ten dollars more a night, and its a guarentee you'll have a close room

We stayed at PC last jUne in preferred room(60's) building. THen again we stayed at PC during our most recent trip at the beginnning of February and we did not have preferred room, and we were closer than when we paid the extra $10. WE were in the 70's section, Mickey Phone building on the first floor, corner room closest to the food court! Room number 6112. WE loved it!!!

I stayed at pop with a 3 year old no stroller. We stayed in the 70s around the corner from the mickey phone half way down lakeview. It took less than 5 minutes to walk to the bus stop and some of that was dd stopping to spin twister on the way or run thru the spray area or fussball court. I would only pay for a preferred view at the all stars but feel it is a waste at pop since they are set up different.

I would recommend against spending the extra $10/night to be "closer." There are rooms in the back of the preferred section that are actually farther away from the foodcourt/busses than rooms in other sections.

I would request a room close to the food court & then any other requests you'd like to make. We prefer the 50's section (have stayed there twice now) - we always request an upper floor (usually a bit quieter) & one by the lake. You can see the Illuminations fireworks from the balconies by the lake in this section.

The 70's section might also be fun for your 3 yo - that's where Goofy's pop jets are to play in & they have a giant Mickey phone icon that he/she would like. I think all of the sections here are great - 50's or 70's would be closest to the foodcourt. HTH! :)

Can you be close to the bus stop and the food court? I called yesterday and asked to be a room in the 50's or 70's My sister has a wheelchair and I am trying to find out the best thing that I should do for her. I think we well take the bus if is close but then again we will have a car so we might just drive to the parks. Just wondering if you can be close the the bus stop and food court?

Hi!

To get to the bus stop you walk by the food court unless you're at the other end of the resort you could cut over to the bus stop from that end.

It is set up so that there Classic Hall (check-in ) extends to Everything POP (shop) and Food Court is beyond the Shop. It's really all together, not like having to walk any distance to get to each one. Have you looked at photos of POP and the ariel views?
