I'm being paid to NOT come into work!

Can't believe it! My official retirement date is 12/31/09. My replacement was hired in Oct & has been doing really well. So it seems that my boss needs "my" desk for her as the one she has been using is needed for someone else. He said that he will pay me full salary through the 31st if I don't come in. Hey, really SURE! I still will get my profit sharing at the end of the year, too.

I just have to go in next week for 2 days to help with sales tax reports. If needed, I can be reached by phone. Not too strenious.

Ya just never know what will happen when you least expect it!

Aw, you poor thing! It must have been quite a shock. You'll have to find something else to fill up those two weeks with now.

Make sure you let them know every time you go in that you will be on call...between holiday shopping and whatever.
