We had a great time. There was some very large crowds but with the right kind of prep work we managed to avoid them for the most part. There were at least 3 groups or conventions there last week that I talked with. There was a doctor's convention, a very large group from Pampered Chef (they occupied over 6 resorts alone), and a group of kids from all over the nation that were with the Future Business Leaders of America (3000+ kids). So yes, crowds were substantial.
Soarin is awesome. Get there early and get a FP otherwise you will be waiting in a very long line (usually 80 minutes or more).
The heat was not bad at all. We did have some rain, though. The worst was on our last day in the parks (Thursday) where it rained for about 5 hours straight.
We did use the emh for the most part. If you want to private message me, I will give you our itinerary just in case you want to try it. I highly recommend the park hopper option on your ticket. It is extremely handy. Hope that helps some.
