I went to the Earl on this last trip in November. After reading sooooooo much about it here, I HAD to finally check it out!!! I got the Original 1762 (roast beef, horseradish sauce, cheddar cheese- served hot on Artisan baked loaf)- I figured I had to try the original before I ever tried anything else.

Doesn't look like much- but O.M.G.- sooooooooooo delicious!!! Practically perfect in every way. The line was HUGE when I went, but it moved very, very quickly and the staff was extremely efficient filling the orders. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......

And I think everyone is "Christmasing"- that's why it's so quiet here in December-

Ellen thatdoes look good !! I have had the beef and gorganzola pocket also very good !!DGD had the spaghetti and meatballs it would easily have fed 2 !!! Their Creme Brulee ain't bad either !!

Recipe for Fruit Cake

You'll need the following: a cup of water, a cup of sugar, four large
brown eggs, two cups of dried fruit, a teaspoon of salt, a cup of
brown sugar, lemon juice, nuts, and a bottle of whiskey. Sample the
whiskey to check for quality.

Take a large bowl. Check the whiskey again. To be sure it's the
highest quality, pour one level cup and drink. Repeat. Turn on the
electric mixer, beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. Add
one teaspoon of sugar and beat again. Make sure the whiskey is still
okay. Cry another tup.

Turn off the mixer. Beat two leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in
the cup of dried
fruit. Mix on the tuner. If the fired druit gets stuck in the
beaterers, pry it loose with a drewscriver. Sample the whiskey to
check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of alt. Or something. Who cares? Check the
whiskey. Now sift the lemon juice and strain your nuts. Add one
table. Spoon. Of sugar or something.
Whatever you can find.

Grease the oven. Turn the cake tin to 350 degrees. Don't forget to
beat off the turner. Throw the bowl out of the window. Check the
whiskey again and go to bed.

Last February I got the Caribbean Jerk Chicken sandwich at EOS. It was SO GOOD!!! Spicy just like I like it. I'm hoping to get another one this trip too.

I'm going to do pictures of the "what were they thinking" variety. But I had already decided that a while back. I always see the craziest outfits and never take pictures of them. This time I will!!
