Truly, there isn't much of actual value in the house. I guess if we wanted to fight, we could fight over the tv's, albums, computer and such, but he wants nothing of that.

It just makes me so sad sometimes thinking that if he wanted to be a part of this marriage, we could have made it work. Not anymore, and maybe that's why we are getting along so well. We're free.

Brer Papa, she was recommended by a family friend. This friend has known his family for a long time, she's a judge now and couldn't/wouldn't take me on. But she recommended this lady, and I'm grateful.

Feeling comfortable with your attorney must be a releif...I agree w/her that "adult behavior" is crucial. You both need clear heads to keep this as smooth as possible, as attorney said. You sound like a huge burden has been lifted, please take time to take care of yourself...one day at a time.
