Please don't kill me for asking, I know it usually stinks there, but I'm ready to give it a shot if I can get at least 3 positive replies.;)

Well we haven't been there yet, but we're giving it a shot in March. I figure what the heck, it's only one meal and we only live once! :)

Seriously, I figure that since I hate things like Zebra Domes, Tonga Toast, the Chicken at Cosmic Ray's and like Mama Melrose - maybe I am outside the Dis board norm and will like what the others pan in reviews.

LOL! I know what you mean - even though I'm one to toot-up a restaurant I like, I keep quiet about some of my favs, coz everyone hates them (take Yakatori House, for example).

I've got Tony's on my list for August ADRs. DH has always wanted to eat there, so we're going!

We enjoyed Tony's. We've had lunch (we have our biggest meal of the day at lunch) there a number of times and have always been pleased with our meal. Now it is not authentic italian fine dining but my kids had the spaghetti and loved it. My dh had the chicken parm and said it was good. Chicken was tender, not dried out and the sauce was flavorful. We both started with the minestrone soup that was a little bland but not bad and I had the Cesaer salad with shrimp that was really good. The shrimp were a nice size and the salad was fresh with a very good dressing. The atmospher is fun. I can't really remember the server so I guess he was not bad enough to complain, but not good enough to remember.

We ate there in September for an early 11:30 Lunch and
we had the best TS of our whole trip. We were on the DP (we had FD)
and that didn't make a difference in the way they treated us--everyone
very nice.
The time that we ate at the restuarant wasn't busy at all
and the server only had us to wait on--it was great.
We had: Grilled Salmon w/ Asparagus (excellent-moist) Ny Strip Steak--
DH found it very tender(loved it) even my pickey DS loved the Flat Bread Pizza
(I was worried because it has a white sauce instead of the typical tomato).
We also had the Trio Dessert everything was good--just couldn't eat it all.
We tried to get ADR to eat there again before the end of our trip and
it was booked solid.
I would try it again to know for sure and not go at a very busy time--
I think that made a difference.
Just to think that this Restuarant was the one I was most worried about
and was thinking about canceling because of all the negitive reviews--
just goes to show you need to try things for yourself.
Now I don't even go by any of the restuarant reviews because it is just
that persons option.
We've found that the restaurants everyone really likes are the ones we don't so
we must have different taste than others.

We ate lunch at Tony's at the end of December and it was very good. We had 12 people in our party of various ages, 9 and up and we all enjoyed our food very much. Service was very good also. We'll go again.

With my family Tony's is a tradition, Tony's is the our first dinner, we have never had a bad meal there, only in 2004, we had a slow waiter, but we always have enjoyed the food! :goodvibes

From our recent experience, almost everything on the dinner menu was fair to poor except for the NY Strip steak, which was outstanding. I have no idea whether they simply got a great shipment of steaks in that week, or if the steaks are reliably good. My steak was tender and flavorful. Another at our table started out with some kind of seafood pasta which was not good at all. She traded it for the steak and was very pleased.

We really like Tony's as well. We do it every trip. Ask for Marc Anthony. He's an awesome waiter!

DW and I ate there in Dec 07. Had lunch before leaving for home. The service and food was excellent. We are coming back in Jul 08 and will be eating lunch there again.

We had a terrific meal in June of '07 and already have our ADR in place for this summer. I would return for the Tiramisu, alone.

I will find out Saturday when we dine there for the first time before P&PP. ;)
I'm brave. I'll give it one shot. :lmao:

We dined there the first week of January and really enjoyed it.

Both DH and I liked our meals, our waiter was very attentive and the bread was awesome. :thumbsup2

We tried to get in MLK weekend and it was closed for rehab. We have eaten there 3-4 times in the past and its always been good. We like the place.

I think they just re-opened Monday. It will be interesting to see if anything is different. I would not know, as we have never been there to eat. But the couple we will be with has.

Tony's for lunch is a MUST-DO for us every trip. We love the flatbreads and the atmosphere! :goodvibes

Do they not serve breakfast anymore? I didn't even SEE this place when we went in 04, I thought it was gone! It was not where I thought it was, silly me. I didn't even read a map to check! I remember a WONDERFUL breakfast here on our honeymoon in 91. The best French toast EVER. I've wanted to go back there forever.
