I'm a Nervous Wreck (female advice)

Another concern I have is that my wife is saying now that she "doesn't feel pregnant." Says she isn't hungry, thinks she's lost weight and isn't feeling sick.

I'm hoping this is all in her head, but it's got us both worried.

Each woman's body will react differently to pregnancy. Me--I lost weight my first trimester because I threw up so much, and all I could do was sleep because I was so exhausted. At nearly the same time, one of my coworkers had the most stress- and problem-free pregnancy in the history of recorded man. She had 'the glow', and bounced around happy all the time--she said she never felt better than when she was pregnant. I was lucky to make it to work without having to pull over and puke out my car door. :crazy2:

I'm keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers--I truly hope your wife (and you, too!) has a happy, healthy pregnancy. :)

I as well have had 2 pregnancies and never felt pregnant in the first 3 trimesters, sometimes I would forget that I had a baby in my tummy. I never ever got any kind of hungary feelings or cravings in either of my pregnancies. I didn't gain much weight at all, and both my little girl's are healthy as can be. My youngest will be 4 months tomorrow. I wouldn't worry to much, the more you worry the more stress your wife will have and stress isn't good right now for the pregnancy. Try to keeps positive thoughts and relax a little, pregnancy changes everything and pregnancy can be very tressful at times, especially when you think there may be something wrong. Take a deep breath and tell yourself "my baby is fine, this just means my child is gonna give us a run for our money when he/she is born" keep your heads up.

I had implantational bleeding at 9-10 weeks with my DD. I also had no signs or feelings of pregnancy--I was never sick, did'nt start to gain weight--until the 2nd trimester. My DD is now 13--and I had a wonderful pregnancy.

I had bleeding with two pregnancies. The first time was at 13 weeks, and I did miscarry. The 2nd was at 9 weeks, and I even brought a suitcase for the hospital to my parents' 50th annniversary party, just in case. But, amazingly enough, everything was fine, and DS is now almost 13.

My cousin bled EVERY DAY of her full-term pregnancy. She had tried for years to become pregnant, with fertility treatments and all, so it was all very nervewracking. With her 2nd child...no bleeding at all. :confused3 It's so different for everyone and every pregnancy.

Good luck to you and your wife. I hope everything turns out fine.

Oh...it's really very simple to determine the due date, and here's a link to due date calculator...even easier than when I was pregnant. :) I actually knew before I was late (after the first) that I was pregnant, because I DIDN'T get a pimple on my chin.

The doctor just called my wife back, and said they found spotting in her blood. I'm not sure what this means, but it certainly doesn't sound good.
We have to go in for an ultrasound this morning at 11:00.

Isn't it to early in the pregnancy for an ultrasound to tell us anything?

They should be able to see at the very least the fetal pole. Be prepared to come away with no difinitive answer. They may have to do a series of blood tests to check her HCG levels and see if they are still rising properly.

I wish you all the best!

:wizard: for a good visit. I will keep you and your wife in my thoughts.

:grouphug:

You'll be in my thoughts today. I am sincerely wishing for the most positive outcome from today's visit.

Hugs and best of luck to you.

I had spotting with my first pregnancy. The Doc did an ultrasound and we subsequently found out I had been pregnant with twins and lost one. I carried to term my daughter, who is now 7....

Just popping in to say I'll be thinking of you two today. I started spotting in my third month and was ordered to bedrest for six weeks. As long as I stayed in bed all was fine. If I got up and moved around, it started again! My daughter is now 15. We'll keep you in our thoughts. Let us know how it goes.

This happened to me with my son who is know 3 years old. The bleeding in my case was the darker blood. The bleeding also started for me after we sex which I guess could happen.

I spotted with both of pregnancies too..both babies are fine they are 6 yrs and almost 3years now. Thoughts and prayers are with you two.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. Sadly, we have lost the baby. We were able to see her OBGYN this morning, and after doing an ultrasound, we were given the bad news.

Guess there's not much else to say. Thanks again for the support.

Oh, boomhauer I am so sorry. I have been waiting for an update all afternoon and hoping things would work out wonderfully for this pregnancy. your family will be in our thoughts.
