hi, I haven't been on vmk in over 2 months and was wondering if you guys could catch me up. I was wondering what the pass was on the loading page...haha :confused3 :rotfl: :confused3
Thanks!

This is taken from vmk.com's FAQ page about the VMK Pass and VMK Tickets:

What is a VMK Pass and how does it work?

VMK Pass is a system that allows you to save your place in line to a popular room but still walk around and chat with players in VMK!

Instead of waiting in front of the loading screen, you now have the option to be placed in a special queue. But while you're waiting in this queue you still have the ability to walk around and chat in VMK. When you use the VMK Pass, the VMK Pass window will appear, this displays your current position in the queue line, the title of the room you're waiting to enter, and the option to leave the line (Leave Queue) if you desire. When it becomes your turn to enter the room, the 'Enter Room' button will begin to flash. Once this happens you have only 20 seconds to click the 'Enter Room' button before you lose your place in line.

I forgot to click 'Enter Room' while I was in queue. What happens?

If you do not click 'Enter Room' before the counter reaches zero, you will lose your place in line and have to enter the queue again. Make sure you keep an watch on your queue position and the timer so you don't lose your place in line.

What happens if I click on 'Leave Queue'?

If you decide to not wait in the queue for the room, you can leave the line by clicking 'Leave Queue.' This will close the VMK Pass window and allow you to get out of the queue for the room you were waiting for.

I was playing a game and I lost my place in line - what happened?

The VMK Pass window does not display while you are playing mini-games (Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Castle Fireworks remixed), and does not display in the Quest Menus. Since you aren't able to see what queue position you're in or if the 'Enter Room' button is flashing when you were in the middle of a mini-game or Quest, make sure you are not playing any mini-games or Quests when waiting for a room, or you'll lose your place in line.

The window for the Guest Rooms has changed. What does 'Queue' and 'People In' mean?
The Guest Rooms window now displays how many people are currently in the room, how many people are waiting to get inside the room (meaning how many people are in the queue), and whether or not you need a ticket to get into the room. Note: Since the Queue is changing on the fly, numbers might not be accurate at all times and the Guest Room window is updated only when you open it.

VMK Tickets

What are Tickets and how do I use them?

Tickets are special Single-Use Pins that allow players to enter 'Ticket Only' selected rooms. Room creators can now choose the players they want to enter their event.

Tickets can be used once to enter, after they are used, they disappear from your inventory completely. Tickets also have an expiration date, after which they'll disappear even if they have not been used.

Are tickets combinable or tradeable?

Tickets are not combinable, but they are tradeable. They are meant to be given out, by trading them or giving them as Quest Prizes. Room creators can purchase Tickets through the Room Info menu and select when the Ticket will be valid.

The Room Information menu has changed. Can you explain the new options?

Furnishing Mode: When this is on you can move, rotate, or take away any furniture placed into the room.

Edit Description: You can enter the room title and a brief description for your room to attract Guests.

Create Tickets: Create Tickets for your rooms by clicking this

Allow in this Room: These are the players you want to allow in the room, they are broken down into 4 different categories:

Myself This is always on, since you, as the room owner can always enter the room. To build your room in privacy, turn off all other options.
Everyone When this is checked anyone can enter your room.
Friends When this box is checked only players on your Friends List will be able to enter your room.
People With Tickets When this box is checked only players with Tickets created by you can enter the room.

Someone traded a Ticket with me and I went into their room, and they booted me! Now, I can't get back in! What do I do?
It's the room owner's decision who stays or goes, and if they don't want you in the room, unfortunately, you can be booted.

How long do Tickets last?

Since Tickets are basically Single-Use pin items, they can only be used once and must be used by the expiration date. (So be sure to use your Ticket before the expiration date!) The expiration date is show when you select the Ticket/Pin in your inventory. If you don't use your Ticket before the expiration date, it will disappear and you will have to get another ticket from the room owner. Also, once you use the ticket to enter a Ticket Only-room, it will disappear from your inventory.

I bought a ticket, but I can't enter the room. What's going on?

In order to enter a room that requires a Ticket Only, you must be wearing the Pin (or Ticket) when you enter the room. Also, make sure you are entering the correct room. You can only enter a Ticket Only room created by the Ticket creator. If you forgot who gave you the ticket, simply select the Ticket Pin in your inventory, and it will display the room owner's name for that specific Ticket.

I created a room, and now want to get Tickets for it. Where can I purchase Tickets?
You can purchase Tickets through the Room Info menu (<*insert room info icon>) by clicking the 'Create Tickets' button. Each Ticket cost 10 credits. After purchasing the amount of Tickets you want, the Tickets will appear in your Inventory and ready for distribution. Note: You can only purchase 10 tickets at a time.

How do I get Tickets to my Guests?

Tickets can be distributed through trading or can be awarded as prizes in Quests.

Can I choose a specific date for when my Tickets expire?

You can choose from one of the following options to expire your Tickets. 1 day, 3, days, 7 days, or 30 days. Remember, once your Guests enter your room, the Ticket is used and they cannot enter your Ticket Only room until they receive another Ticket from you.

How do I know if a room needs a Ticket to enter?

A ticket icon will be displayed by the room title in the Guest Rooms navigator window.

The Room names are different colors – what does that mean?

Rooms are color coded as follows:

If the Room Name is displayed in White this means that everyone can enter. No one is required to wear a Pin and you do not have to be the Room Owner's friend in order to enter the room.

If the Room Name is displayed in Green this means you need to be a friend of the Room Owner in order to enter. You'll only see the Room Name in Green if you are looking under the 'Friend's Room' tab.

If the Room Name is displayed in Yellow this means the room is set for 'Tickets Only,' and players and friends must have a Ticket to enter this room. Contact the room owner if you want to get inside and don't have a Ticket.

If the Room Name is displayed in Purple this means the Room Owner's friends and people with Tickets can enter the room. If you are a friend of the Room Owner, you are not required to have a Ticket to enter the room.

Remember: You can only enter a Ticket Only room created by the Ticket creator. If you forgot who gave you the Ticket, simply select the Ticket/Pin in your Inventory and it will display the room owner's name for that specific ticket.
