No overreaction on your part - you did exactly what you should have done.. Some forms of skin cancer are EXTREMELY deadly and can reach the fatal stage VERY quickly!

Please don't allow this one incident to change your concerns over any future moles and such.. See your primary doctor right away just to be safe..
