If I HAVE to pick only one of these...which one is a MUST see and why? I'm hoping to see at least two, but if we're pressed we definitely will see one of these! TIA

No way to answer this one...they are three different kinds of shows! Everyone will have a different opinion. If you haven't seen any of them, they are all amazing in their own way.

Illuminations and Fantasmic play every night, so you should have no trouble seeing both of those. Check the park hours for the nights Spectro is playing and arrange a visit to the MK for that night and you'll see all three of them!

Spectromagic is my favorite b/c it is so unique. I love the colors and the music.

The fantasmic at MGM is alot bigger than it is at Disneyland! I liked it better at MGM. I didn't see spectromagic. Illuminations was nice. Out of the 3, my vote is for Fantasmic.

But wishes is a must see also!!

Illuminations is the best. I like spectromagic but it still can't beat the Electrical Light Parade. Maine :firefight

Wishes! is the night time fireworks display at the MK and it is not to be missed. Spectomagic is the night time electric parade at MK. They are 2 different but both spectacular displays at MK.

If I had to miss one out of the four (Wishes, Illuminations, Spectro or Fantasmic), I would miss Fantasmic first. Among the remaining 3?? Well, I would make sure I was at MK on the night that both Spectro and Wishes were going on, and that would be my pick! But I would sure miss Illuminations....

We love all three and try not to miss any of 'em while at the World, but if I had to pick just one.....it would be Illuminations, no trip to WDW would seem complete without it.

I'm picking this one because the fireworks, lights, lasers, globe picture screen, water works and music are unbelievable. Plus, you don't have to spend alot of time waiting around on Illuminations. In fact, if you set a priority seating at the Rose & Crown for around 8:00 p.m., there's a good chance that you can sit outside and enjoy a nice meal with desert arriving just in time for Illuminations, allowing you to sit comfortably and enjoy the show without any interuptions.

Catching Spectro or Fantasmic usually involves an hour long wait trying to save a good spot/seat for the show where other guests will probably crowd or obstruct your view. They do offer dinner packages for Fantasmic, but the seats aren't all that great.

That said, I can't stress enough how increadible each of these shows is. Each is truthfully not to be missed. Fantasmic is unlike anything you've ever seen; mixing fireworks and lasers with film projected on water screens and an enormous live action stage, the largest dragon I've ever seen, more disney characters than you can throw a stick at and of course, Mickey as the hero of it all.

Spectromagic is one of the best parades WDW has ever done ( I still love MSEP ), and if you catch it, you can probably catch Wishes too which should never be missed. In fact, catching these two shows in one night would be hard to beat.

As you can tell I'm a little conflcted about all this, but I'll still stay with Illuminations for the total experience. Good luck, and I really hope you're able to do them all.

No one is going to like me on this thread :guilty:

If I had to choose it would be Fantasmic! I think it is quite beautiful and you can see almost every character and it is very unique.

I am not a fan or ever have been of Illuminations. Don't get me wrong I never miss it when I go but we make it appoint not to miss it.

Wishes is another can't miss, if you really want to feel magical see it!

Illuminations is tough to see if you don't get around the Lagoon early (if you don't have a ps seating at Rose and Crown or wherever for that matter) It is missing something so sorry not one of my favorites.
:guilty:

i'd go with spectro just because it is different but then again so is illuminations and fantasmic...fantasmic is my least favorite of the " after dark" shows

My DH prefers Illuminations, but Wishes with the Cinderella Castle as a backdrop is awesome. Fantasmic was fun, but I don't mind missing it for one of the others. I really don't like the SpectroMagic parade, I try to like it, but just can't get past the creepy clowns...sorry!!

If I was forced to choose, (which I would hate as I like them all) I would choose Spectromagic and then stay for Wishes. :goodvibes

Wishes is just so "tocuh my heart". My wishes have come true as I am back in Disney World. I am at peace. I'm in the Magic Kingdom with the castle as a backdrop. Perfection. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

11 days. :cheer2:

I LOVE Fantasmic...

they are all great. Maybe decide by which park you will be attending that day?

100% absolutly you have to see Spectro Magic. I dont know why, there are no words to explain the feeling I get when I see that show. I get chills, and I get choked up, and I think I cry everytime. I think it might be the music...it's so magically orchestrated.
:wizard: :pug:

Another vote for do not miss Illuminations or Wishes! They are my favorites! My DH gets to laugh at me because I can "conduct" the Illuminations music. I have the CD and play it often in my car.
Both of them make me teary eyed - but lots of music does that to me.

Try to see them all if you have a chance. And then let us know which one you enjoyed the best.

I'm not gonna pick, and you can't make me!

DW & I have discussed this. If we had to pick just one, it would be Fantasmic. To us, it's the most "Disney."
