It seems to me that most reports of illness have come from people on Deck 6... where also reports of a sewage spill came... coincidence???
Only thing that makes me nervous is we're staying on deck 6, though not in a room that's been mentioned (so far). viruses can linger on surfaces and such, so I'm hoping it gets killed soon!

I don't know what kind of reports you are looking for from the 1/14 sailing, we were on the 1/14 sailing and knew nothing of any illness reports from the previous cruise. We know a lot of the crew and officers and no one mentioned any sicknesses to us that we should have been concerned with or that concerned them.
I can't read the dr's writing well, but our daughters discharge sheets show R.... virus GI, so hopefully they will be reporting it.
I'm not sure if that is one of the viruses that is usually reported to or tracked by the CDC...There was a vaccine for this briefly aboutI don't know what kind of reports you are looking for from the 1/14 sailing, we were on the 1/14 sailing and knew nothing of any illness reports from the previous cruise. ::WHEW::, reading this thread I started to get a little panicked.... but then I'm known for that... just ask my DH![]()
FYI ... Here is a response I received from the VSP. The sailing did not fall within their reporting threshold
... On the Disney Wonder's cruise of 7-10 January the ship reported to CDC as required the following: 46 GI cases among passengers from a total onboard of 2,721 (1.691%) and 3 crew GI cases from a total onboard of 972 (0.309%).
We do recognize that some people fail to report their illness to the ship's medical department, and that is somewhat factored into the outbreak definition above, but there is little we can do to change that outcome.
What is VSP?
Rest assured folks!
We just got off the Wonder today and saw no signs of illness or extra concern by DCL. Normal cleaning and hand wipes, but no panic!
Actually....we did see one sick child. Parents were trying to get her ON the ship on Sunday. She was actually throwing up at the shuttle drop off dockside. That is how illness starts on a ship.

We attributed it to seasickness though she has never been seasick before. She did not have a fever nor diarrhea. She did have congestion in her ears which we thought was not helping her bad motion sickness. It was a long rough night for her.
Who knows maybe it was something else? When I went to the medic room Sat for some meds, there was a small line of people all complaining of(or had someone in their party complaining of) GI distress. Most were staying on deck 6 and were talking about others staying on Deck 6 also falling ill. No one else in our party became ill.
