Just returned from using the QSDP! We stayed at Pop 3/13-3/20 on the 4/3 deal with a $200 gift card included.

I am not talented enough to write a full blown Dining Review, but I will post some info about our meals.

Let me start off my saying that there is no way to eat that many snacks. Keep in mind that the lunches and dinners both include a type of dessert and then to throw in 2 more snacks a day??? Wow.

Hence the title of my post. We began the week with 56 snack credits :scared:. On our last evening in the MK, we still had 24 snacks remaining. Trust me, we had ice cream every day, picked up popcorn whenever someone asked, had a dole whip:goodvibes and never told my kids they couldn't have something.

I knew that we could get 1 piece of fudge for a snack credit, so I got in the long fudge line at the Main Street Confectionary. They were super busy (who knew that many people stop for fudge at 10pm?). When it was my turn, I told the nice young man that I wanted to buy 24 pieces of fudge. His eyes bugged out of his head and he began to calculate how many boxes I would need. It was taking the poor guy forever to get the pieces in the boxes and the line behind be stretch all the way back to Casey's (just kidding). After he loaded up 12 for me, I said that's fine, I'll just take 12. He seemed relieved. I stepped over to give the cashier my card and told her my dilemma (having 12 leftover snack credits is quite a dilemma!). She offered to pull out 12 other pieces of the chocolates that would count as snack credits!

Yay! I left with 12 pieces of fudge and 12 pieces of different candies! Which we shared with our family upon return to home!

Wow! They rang up at $90! Who else left MK with $90 worth of candy???

More later about our meals...just wanted to share the fudge story.

We had a similar experience with the deluxe plan. Loved it for the meals and used every credit, but didn't use nearly the 88 snacks that we were allowed on the plan. It worked out really well, because we got those frosted character cookies from the Confectionary and a LOT of Mickey rice crispy treats to bring home for the kids to take to their friends and classmates (yes, we had enough snack credits leftover for 2 classes worth of treats).

This time I'm looking forward to a little more snacking since I won't be newly pregnant and queasy, but we're still planning on some take-home goodies. And since we've got a cabin this time, I'm figuring on at least a dozen snack credits' worth of microwave popcorn from the trading post for our 8 night stay!

Can't wait to hear more about your experience with the QSDDP! We leave early Friday and will be trying it for the first time as well. Did you eat many meals at Pop? What did you like/not like there?

I fear a similar experience with the snack credits, so thanks for the head's up. On the regular DDP, I'm pretty liberal with the snack credits, but we still end up bringing stuff home. I can already tell I'm going to be pushing the snacks on everyone--"please eat some popcorn, another ice cream sandwich, even a diet coke, for crying out loud!"

Mmm fudge sounds good. Where else did you go on your trip? :) Any hidden gems of QS except for Wolfgang Pucks Express... ? :) I enjoyed Everything pop as well myself. Im glad Main Street Confectionary was so nice:)

If I told DH that he could have 24 pieces of fudge I think he would propose to me all over again :lmao:

OH man I better start organizing now.....I have 104 snack credits for 4 of us for 14 nights......:rotfl2: Mr Dentist here we come!!!

Wow, I don't think I could stomach that much fudge. Go on, be honest, how much have you got left :rotfl:

Oooh, the fudge is sooo good there! I did have a piece of the Celebration fudge last month that I didn't care too much for though. I could go for a piece right now for breakfast! :cool1:
