I'll show you my Lapu Lapu if you show me yours!

Another milestone passed on the road to WDW....

Well, I finally did it. After a year and half it's a done deal I made my final payment on the trip! As I gave the CM my CC number, the heavens parted, trumpets played, the angels sang. It was magical! Disney trip - check! Cruise - check! Airfare - check! I'm so giddy I've been playing DIS Radio all day.

Am I sick or what? Is it me, or is Disney pretty much the only debt we Disney aficionados actually enjoy paying? I don't know, I'm just glad to have paid the major expenses off.

I haven't made 1 payment! :lmao: I do have most of the money horded in trunk of the tree in my backyard.

Oh but it is. Didn't they tell you in orientation? Upon your first Disney theme park experience you are deemed the "Disney Faithful" and are now commited to lifetime allegience as are your offspring. Any attempt to leave the fold will result in the loss of magic, imagination and pixie dust in your life. The DIS is always watching, right through your computer screen. Do you think it's coincidence that we're on the same flight? I think not!:lmao:

DLMama, can you tell me a little more about the trees in your yard? I'm doing an Arbor Day report. :cool2:

Yeah, I'm a sucker for Disney marketing schemes!

Ok, so I haven't been on the boards too much lately but a couple weeks ago I do remember reading something about the Pirates and Princess party. I know some may find this shocking since I keep up with the boards, I never really knew what the P&P Party was all about, thought it was something for the little ones. Boy was I wrong!

As I look at our itinerary, I realize we already have a few other special events planned - Illuminations Dinner, Fireworks Cruise. Dare I add yet another event and spend more $$$? I rationalize that 8/28 would be the perfect night for the party since we'll be at the MK anyway. Besides, I have a gut feeling my sis won't be able to make it on our trip and I'll end up having to cancel our special sisters only dinner at Citricos that night. And if she does make it, I think she'd vote for the party anyway cuz we have an ADR for lunch at the Brown Derby for just she and I for some bonding time anyway. But will DSIL even agree to yet another change? It'll mean rearranging a couple of our ADRs. But the kids love all things piratey and with POTC: At World's End coming up, they'll be pumped for it, especially with Pirate Night on the cruise following soon after. So I call DSIL and tell her all about it. I know the Disney bug has really bitten her because she knows all about it and even though I tell her to sleep on it, she doesn't blink an eye and agrees. Woohoo! She's as much a Disney marketing sucker as I am!

June can't come soon enough!pirate: princess:

Excellent! :thumbsup2: I guess I'm a sucker, too. No one wants to do the PP&P except Maddie and I. So, we're either going to tag along with Lauralee and Michael on the 21st or we'll go on the 28th and have to stalk YOU! :lmao:

Did I miss something? What's happening in June? :confused3

:yay: We've been suckered in too, we're going to PPP on the 15th Shhhhhh it's a secret though, I haven't got many this year so lets hope I can keep at least 1  Have you found anyone for your GG?

Hmmm, i was thinking of going 8/31, but maybe I need to change to 8/28.

Bummer. Sounds like we'll be the only ones going on the 21st...

Woooo Hoooty....I'm gonna get me some Booty!!pirate:

Yo Ho, Yo Ho....A pirate's life for me....

Everyone - come on - you know the words!!:rolleyes1

:rotfl: No, you haven't missed anything! You just want to be in the know about everything Disney don't ya? June 1st is when tickets for the P&P Party go on sale.:goodvibes

Tracy, are you going to see the POTC movie at El Capitan? I haven't checked out the website yet to see when tickets go on sale. My DSIL will be flying out to Cali for Damian's graduation and will be staying most of the month of June so we're going once she gets here. Knowing you, you've probably seen some movies there. I love it, been taking the kids since they were little. We saw the last Pirates movie there last year and got the VIP seats. It was awesome!pirate:

Oh yeah, it's a secret in our house too. My son knew we were going on this trip as a grad present - there was no way I could keep that a secret but I still have a few surprises in my pocket!

I did find someone for our GG on TGM. Nothinng's set in stone but it looks very promising.:thumbsup2

Hmmm, i was thinking of going 8/31, but maybe I need to change to 8/28.

I think the 28th or the 31st are both good nights to go. The reason we nixed the 31st is because we have the cruise to get to the next morning so we need to be up early. I think we'll be pretty darn tired after the party.

I'll be wearin' me wench costume, arrrgh! Just kidding! I think it'll be too hot to wear a full on costume although since we're going on the cruise we'll already have them with us. I'm thinking we'll just all wear some cool POTC logo t-shirts.

Update on the P&P Party....

Spoke to my sis this morning - she's down for the party, yeah baby! She used the same rationale as me. Great minds think alike!

No, my kiddies are too little for POTC at the theater. The noise level is too much for them. I have seen Pocohontas at El Capitan, we had VIP seats, it was awesome! We took Walt when he was little. We ARE however, going to see Meet the Robinsons next week at El Capitan. We're sooo excited. Did you know there's a Disney Studios store and cafe adjacent to the theater? I didn't know that. :sad2:

My D's want to see thatit comes out over here on the 30th ready for the Easter holiday. Not really into the POC films although I have seen the boat they use. In 03 and 04 we went to St Lucia and it sailed past our hotels every night, does that count as a claim to fame :rotfl2:

Oh yeah Lisa yea on your sis agreeing!

That's right, those movies are pretty noisey and there's some scary parts too. I forget cuz I have 3 teenage sons in the house, lots of testosterone!

I don't think we'll go to El Capitan for MTR - we'll probably go to one of the local theatres to see it.

Ha, ha, I know something you don't know, I know something you don't know!;) Yes, I know about the DS store - fun place where we got pirate swords and POTC jewelry last time we were there.

I don't have any choice but to be into those movies. I don't get to see too many chick flicks, mostly blockbuster action films (if 'ya can't beat 'em join 'em) and just about anything Disney which of course me and the boys love.
