Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

OK - I'll start -

How was the aqua duck?

and I can't resist following up on the hot topics from the main boards.... :rolleyes1 ;)

Where you the one wandering around with 8 purses soon to be listed on ebay?

Where there disappointed guests who threw temper tantrums when they did not receive as nice of gifts as the media?

Will Jack and Rose forever be trapped in steerage with a suitcase full of FE gifts never to be delivered behind the gated halls of concierge?

and finally, my (as of today) favorite question - Will I have fun?

And in order - AQUA DUCK - was much fun....very, very much fun.....a wee bit cold but this encourages you to try the hot tubs - also fun. We tried Aqua Duck at Castaway and want to try it at sea.

The lines and behaviour of some guests for Maiden Voyage merchandise was not very Disney. And yes, there were tantrums...

More about concierge later - Our TA hosted a reception, so I have a few pictures for later posting and I am afraid there were undelivered fish extender gifts.

YOU WILL HAVE LOTS OF FUN.

Irene, thanks for the pictures & commentary!!! Can't wait to hear & see more.

As with everything, if you are a roll-with-the-punches type of person, you will have a good time. I obsess in planning but then go with the flow. I can't get over the people on the main boards that have such a problem with the adult pool. I can't say that I've even been in it. There are too many things I'd rather see & do on the cruise. A pool is a pool to me.

Ang

Oh yes, more more more will be coming but it will have to wait until after work. How do I insert pictures so they are not so large....unless that is not an issue.

I guess one good thing about the cruise is that I have stayed off the main boards. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: And still have not gone back.....

Meanwhile, on the adult pool. I love how they have staged the entire adult area from the pool, to bar, to Cove Cafe, to two hot tubs, with glass bottoms, to second deck with sun seating, to just everything. The Adult area was a major improvement.

The pool is smaller - that stated, on our 8 cruises thus far, I only saw one person (ever) doing laps. That person will miss the longer pool. Regrettably, that person will need to be in the gym (nice gym as well), or jogging the longer Deck 4. As you all know, we are water people, but the ships pools have always been more for just dipping than for swimming. I did not see that the adult pool was crowded but people may have avoided going inside.

The above comment is the person opinion of the author and is not meant to create any discontent by those who do not share this viewpoint.

:rotfl::rotfl:

And speaking of planning - Sam can give his viewpoint on my obession with planning as well. :lmao::lmao::lmao: But we rolled......

And we headed through the line to have our Boarding photo taken - the face recognition program allows for Shutters to pick you out of shots and wait to you see what they have done for Shutters - it is so neat! more later.....Soon you hear "Introducing the ...Party" and you are whisked to the elevator line. We we told to go to Cabannas, but when we were at the front of the line the crew member suggeted we head downstairs to Deck two to:

It is so pretty....Flowers and art everywhere.....

And the Garden itself, sooooo pretty....

This was daytime, the garden turns into night for dinner. Meanwhile the buffet was fabulous, salads, soups, seafood and hot dishes. I stopped at salads and my favourite - New Zealand Green Mussels and King Crab. And there is an ice cream parlour with the dessert line. If you look past Sam you can see Ducky's party was just being seated. We saw him a lot but did not wish to intrude and take pictures.

Only one update this morning sine 'puter went nuts last night and I have lost this post 3 times......but more to come if you want...

OK, one more - couldn't resist since I took the TOP.
For the first time it was past 1:30 when we finished lunch so we headed to deck 5...Have I mentioned the DREAM is so pretty?

Just to the right on Deck 4 you can see the Vista Cafe with our good friend Lenroy.

It is so pretty......

There is an entire series of bronze ship plaques.....

And Deck 5 is where the Mouse detective HQ is - you must try this. You get a badge, a map and solve a mystery by walking all over the ship. (more later - Stacey - you knees will hurt...sorry)

And finally - the room beckons. Good Morning All.

Irene,
That would be me, Jim and Alexa:scared1: It should start this evening. That is all that has been on the news for the last 2 days. School is already cancelled for tomorrow and I am guessing we will be home for the day. Can't think of anything better to do than to hear more about your trip!!:surfweb:

Take care Mary and Mark!

Houston weather report: sunny 41 degrees "windchill" 32 degrees. The anticipated severe rainy weather did not materialize this morning on our side of town although the temperatures dropped 30+ degrees in 10 minutes.

The jr. high cross country meet is cancelled - Maggie is not happy - she thinks these kids are all a bunch of wimps.... - Believe it or not, she's a native born Texan

We are home safe and sound and work has been called off for both of us tomorrow.

Crazy storm.

And Matthew will be seeing a heat wave in two days. The temp is going up 45 degrees. It's going to get to 30!!

Right now he is at -15 with a -40 wind chill. :scared1:

I love Florida!!

For those of you stuck at home, here is something to look forward to.

Room 5180 (later renamed Jurassic Park rooms) - is 6b. OK, so I will not say the room is pretty but it is very elegant and efficient. More room pictures to come later - but for now you can see: No trunk - this was mentioned by several cruisers as something they miss - but there is no room for one. The biggest positive is that there are no sliding closet doors to go back and forth in the night - and there is storage shelves in the closet.

You cannot see in the picture but the table in the desk area is now a trunk - needs some work so it will not always be in the way. Small issue - for 2 people we managed, for more than two, I think could be an issue.

And there is a real fridge - about the same size, maybe a little bigger - and no longer 3 doors to get thru - just the cover door and fridge.

The TV is flat screen - which rotates. A divided curtain -- and the divided bath. Another small thing is that the room with the toilet does not have towel racks - this was a plus on the other ships.

The veranda is clear on the bottom and white on the sides - two chairs and a table - not as cozy as the navigators with the bench and one chair - not as nautically themed but probably easier to maintain. And had I not been putting comments together, probably not worth mentioning.

More room views later - the only way I can keep up is to post in some generic order of how we spent the time. But I will give a preview that the beds are very comfy!

Any questions so far on the room?

How true - I must stay off the main boards. I must, I must...I MUST...

I have a question, Irene! :flower3: Now that you know the ship, and the Jurassic Park rooms, what deck will you be on in July? Aft, mid or forward? :goodvibes (oops, does that count as 2 questions?!! :rotfl:)

Take care Mary and Mark!

Take care all -- my golly gosh that storm looks wicked.

And I think that we have another special diskid in Alexa....

That's all for now folks. I have to figure out how to select a few Sail Away photos....

heeheeheeheehee

To all of your with the frigid temps, stay warm! We're just getting LOTS of rain here.

Irene, why are the room Jurassic Park rooms? What did I miss? Are the rooms really that much smaller? I guess they look about the same to me but maybe not as wide?

We have a inside stateroom on the Fantsay. That will be something different for us - no split bath but I'm sure we'll manage.

Ang

The rain pretty much missed us, but we'll be below freezing tonight, not too far above it for tomorrow and then below again tomorrow night.
I hope the pipes don't freeze up again.
The wind is howling, had to close the doggie door...the blinds at that door were flying!

I know, nothing compared to a lot of you. Believe me when I say that my thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has to deal with the nasty snow, ice and frigid temperatures! I hate that weather so much, it makes me shake to see it on the news.
