Il Pochi il Fiero y Blabbermouths...Magical Reunion FINALLY!!!

And from her FB post, apparently its COLD, but the food is good.

Quiet New Year's Eve here, too. Ray will be working the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, and Elizabeth is in Atlanta with her boyfriend's huge Italian family. Christopher and I haven't figured out what we're doing yet... I am off tomorrow, so I'm taking him to Busch Gardens (one last time before our 'perks' are gone forever with the new ownership)... we might just hang out at home on NYE and play Wii... (oh wait... that's what did all weekend....)

We are painting our bathroom on NYE if you want to come join our "party".

We ended up spending Christmas in Duluth MN. Matt was not able to get official leave so we had to stay within 4 hours of his base.

We managed to survive the big blizzard by staying on the shores of Lake Superior which only got rain and 35-50 MPH winds. It was like being in a tropical storm.

We had a great time with Matt. The weekend included skiing, cross country, snowboarding, and digging the SUV out of the snow. The kids loved the last one, not so much Sharon.

We will be spending NYE at home as this is our last weekend home for many months.

Hi folks - a Happy New Year to all.....posting now in case I end up with smoke signals over the weekend.....:rotfl2:

To all my blabbermouth friends my wishes for a very Happy New Year. May the coming year be filled with health, happiness and love!

Sorry I didn't check in, their internet was kind of slow, and I didn't take my laptop, had to wait for a computer sometimes.

Short story....the Elation is an older ship, but very pretty. Not all gaudy like a lot of the newer ones. Lots of fun game shows and trivia like Match Your Mate. Didn't see any of the big shows....most are Vegas-style.
The food was really, really good. Even if they'd had specialty restaurants, I don't think we would have bothered going. Same servers every night, and they're fun. They sing and dance, do magic tricks, etc.
Do I still love Disney the best? OH YEAH! But for the price, it wasn't bad. And we didn't (honest!) see any of the drunks like you hear about with Carnival. But then I didn't go to the bars looking, either.
Didn't do much of anything, other than the game shows. It just isn't as much fun without DISers. We did meet up with a few very nice people from Cruise Critic, including some people from Nebraska, who know my brother, so that was kind of neat.

I'm not sure when Disney is going to be running the Mexican Riviera...I haven't looked at their schedules, but since it's opposite Alaska, my guess is that they'll go in the winter. I hope they install heat in the rooms!!! It was cold.
And I know that if I ever do the MR again...these were stops number 4 & 5 in Cabo for me.....I think I'd pay the extra money and do it with Disney.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Just saw the little news blurb that a young woman jumped off a ship in the Bahamas. I sort of laughed a little....with all the young women in the stateroom, I was half tempted to jump over a few times myself!

Our DIS kids truly are a very well behaved, well mannered group. Congratulations to all of the parents in our group for doing such a nice job of raising decent kids.

Speaking of cold - how was your run yesterday?
Our walk was cut short by snow...OK, so it wasn't really snow when it hit us, but it was snow when it started to fall, I betcha!!!!!

It was a great run. Thankfully I was able to park near the start line so it limited the amount of time I had to just stand around. It was 31 at the start.

After the first mile it felt really nice. I had my hat and gloves off by mile 8.

It felt really nice to run in cooler weather after all those summer months. It also makes it easier to run faster. I was able to meet my goal of 1:59 for the half marathon.

I celebrated with a nice cold Blue Berry Beer at 10 am.

Are you saying her feet are cold? :confused3

:rolleyes1:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 Um... NO... he's refering to my Facebook post about refusing to cover the palms and hibiscus... my thought is, if they die, they die... they weren't meant to live!

Kiki - I remember this discussion from last year. I was on the roof again last night - putting the tarp up over the rainforest palms.

OK MAC folks - how do I open a new tab - so I can search the web or post a reply without having the leave the main page?????

I could look in the manual :rotfl:
