Sorry I didn't check in, their internet was kind of slow, and I didn't take my laptop, had to wait for a computer sometimes.
Short story....the Elation is an older ship, but very pretty. Not all gaudy like a lot of the newer ones. Lots of fun game shows and trivia like Match Your Mate. Didn't see any of the big shows....most are Vegas-style.
The food was really, really good. Even if they'd had specialty restaurants, I don't think we would have bothered going. Same servers every night, and they're fun. They sing and dance, do magic tricks, etc.
Do I still love Disney the best? OH YEAH! But for the price, it wasn't bad. And we didn't (honest!) see any of the drunks like you hear about with Carnival. But then I didn't go to the bars looking, either.
Didn't do much of anything, other than the game shows. It just isn't as much fun without DISers. We did meet up with a few very nice people from Cruise Critic, including some people from Nebraska, who know my brother, so that was kind of neat.
I'm not sure when Disney is going to be running the Mexican Riviera...I haven't looked at their schedules, but since it's opposite Alaska, my guess is that they'll go in the winter. I hope they install heat in the rooms!!! It was cold.
And I know that if I ever do the MR again...these were stops number 4 & 5 in Cabo for me.....I think I'd pay the extra money and do it with Disney.
