If Disney designers came to your property at no cost to you and were given the job of turning your house and grounds into a themed resort, what era, place, theme would you chose, and why?

Just like AKL...right down to the smells!

just love the homey/relaxed feeling there

Gotta agree with Stinkerbelle - definitely the AKL. I would also like to have the Boma's chef live at my AKL themed home.

Either a medieval fantasy castle theme or ancient Egypt.

I just really like those two things. :)

Well, since our new log home kind recalls Wilderness Lodge, I would love to have them decorate it!

They can recreate either the Wilderness Lodge or the Boardwalk for me.

Something like Tomorrowland or the Future World would be cool...high-tech gadgets, lots of bright primary colors and shiny surfaces...very kitchy. Plus a mini monorail traveling the property!

The Polynesian;

We added on to our home last summer, and for our new decorations, went with a tropical theme; pastel colors inside, rattan, mosquito net over the bed, ceiling fan with big, rooden blades. I have been adding some small palms as houseplants, and they have held up pretty well so far.

I'm even looking for some cold hardy palms that would survive outside for the winter; we live near the coast, so we have relatively mild winters, and some plams are pretty hardy.

Oh my goodness! The beautiful "Arts and Crafts" style of the Grand Californian at DisneyLAND. Without a second's hesitation!

The Beach Club - I am actually trying to find lots of pictures of the interior of the beach club so that I can find a way to do our master bedroom like it. :)

Every day in our home is like living in a themed resort...............................................................................................we call it "La La Land!"

something based on Colorado and the Rocky Mountains

Probably a turn of the century style upstate New Yorkish thing..that era always fascinates me and I don't know why...:scratchin

I would go with the Beach Club too. I wonder if we could fit Stormalong Bay in the field next to my house?? :teeth:

I think I would like a mixture of the Yacht Club and the Caribbean Beach and I would call it "Club George."

Just like WL, complete with the pool (and caretakers, of course. LOL!)

Or I'd also go for something like the Japanese pavilion, complete with a themed garden out back.

Or, if they could somehow recapture the feeling of the Swiss chalets I saw last month...

I guess, like The Polynesian. I like the Gauguin thing. Kind of like a Tahiti inspired landscape.:earsgirl:

Middle Earth! Yes that would be a hoot! If we come visit you, do we all need to go barefoot and have hairy feet?!
