IF you won castle stay WHY would you need to move your stuff?

wouldnt you in fact have 2 rooms for that night? would it affect your reservation? isnt that reserved room still yours? I understand you would need an overnight bag but cant see why you would need to move everything

You would just need a bag with what you need - that is correct - you would not be moving everything.

I think that's up to your hotel. I would assume most people just bring an overnight bag for the one night in the castle, and leave the rest of their stuff in their existing room for their return.

If you were really thrifty, and you knew you won the castle stay before checkout time at your other hotel, I suppose you could try to arrange to checkout for one night and check back in again the next morning. For most people, I think that's more hassle than it's worth. And I'm not sure if or how you could arrange that if you were staying at a Disney resort on a prepaid package, as many guests are.

They give a night in Cindy's place and I'll gladly pay DOUBLE for my other room. It'd be just that cool.

of course, i don't expect to win, but we may spend a day in wdw while staying at a friend's house in tampa... will they drive us to tampa to get our toothbrushes and then back to MK for the night?

I figured one would have to pay for your room. I guess I was just thinking it really isn't a free night at Cindy's Castle, if you are still forking over $$$ for the other room. However, like mostly everyone else, I would gladly accept a night at Cindy's, because gosh darn it, I am a princess and deserved to be treated so! :
