What would you do to fill the time? :scratchin We've spent 4 nights on property a few times, & wished we had more time. This time we've decided to stay 5. :woohoo: I seriously doubt we'll be searching for something to do, but I'm interested in what others do on a 5 night/ 6 day stay. I know we could see a movie or shop at CW, but I'm wondering if there's some little known things we should make a point to see. :ssst: Our DS(14) isn't really into pool time, so I'm looking for other things to do that aren't in the parks. Suggestions for little known attractions that we may have skipped in the parks are also welcome. :)

FYI, when we park our van in the HRH parking lot, we refuse to move it until the trip is over. :teeth: Also, the RPR Luau & Dive-in movie would be on our list of things to do, but we check out on a Fri. morning. :guilty:

Please be creative, & help me plan a fresh & exciting trip.

:thanks:

i don't know if you'd consider leaving the property & going to Sea World using their free shuttle? i don't know the details but i know that a shuttle is offered to & from Sea World. that's what we're doing w/ 1 of our 5 days.

Living in FL, we've been to SW lots of times. You'll enjoy it! :sunny: We don't really want to leave the property, but I really appreciate the suggestion. :)

No help, but I know when ds is 14 (he's almost 6) we'll definitely be doing more off property stuff like go-carts, airboat rentals, Daytona Speedway, the guitar store in DD, Disney Quest, fishing at Lake Toho, ...I think they'll be tired of me dragging them around the parks by then. ;)

Our DS says he wants to go to the parks every day. One of the things we love about UO is that we don't have to tour commando style. My guys like to sleep in, go ride a few rides, then back to the resort to cool off. We then go back to ride a few rides in the afternoon. I was hoping to find something on property that we haven't done yet, just to have a new experience. I'd love to find something like a "Behind the Scenes" tour in the hotels or parks that we could fit into our daily park routine. There has to be things we've missed. :confused3

Living so close to the parks makes our situation a bit different I suppose. The fact that we can do the off property things any time we want makes them less appealing. Also, my DH drives all week for work, & hates to drive on vacation. That's one thing that makes UO a good option for us. :)

BTW, prepare to spend mega bucks at Virgin Records @ DTD, when your DS gets older. :teeth:

He could try to be in some of the shows, like Fear Factor. He'll have to be there a couple hours before it starts to sign up.
There is a behind the scenes tour of the Hard Rock Cafe talked about in this thread.

Check the concert schedule to see who is playing. That would be really neat to eat dinner at the HRC, then see a concert.

snoopymom,
My DH is always up for being immersed in anything that isn't the real world with real traffic. :teeth: Thanks for the secrets link, I've never seen it. :thumbsup2

Robvia,
Thanks to these boards I now know to ask for a backstage tour of both HRH & HRC. :rockband: I knew you guys would have some great suggestions. :teeth: We've stayed at HRH & dined at HRC a few times, but didn't know about either of these before.

A concert would be great. I'll keep checking the schedule. Thanks again for your help. :)
