I am passing this along to others who use e-cigarettes in hopes you will be spared my brief misery and embarrassment.

While staying at the HRH last June, we were on our way to US for early entry. I was detained by security at the HRH water taxi security/bag check because the overzealous security guard examined my e-cigarette and through the juice in the refillable tank was too dark and "likely contains THC." Even though I explained it was just nicotine juice, he refused to take my word for it and I was there at least 30 minutes waiting on an Orlando Police Officer to show up and let me go (which he did, immediately, albeit without my refillable tank).

So if you use e-cigarettes, beware this can happen if you carry a refillable e-cigarette into the park. Not only could you be detained and lose precious touring time, you could have your tank and juice (if you are carrying extra juice, too) confiscated.

My next trip, we will be buying some disposable, non-refillable pens, just to avoid having this issue again.

Yeah. Guilty until proven innocent. It was either leave it behind, or wait for another officer to bring a field test unit to certify it THC free. If my family hadn't been waiting for me at the park, I would have waited it out.

Nicotine gets darker is it gets older. New 12mg liquid is clear but a week later looks like bourbon.

Everybody has different priorities, but I would have have demanded to see the manager and insisted that if they continued down this path, based on the expertise of a guard to identify THC liquid at 10 feet away, I would be expecting a full comp of hotel, food, and tickets when the test came back negative. Failure to do that, my next action would be an attorney. They would be violating my rights and I won't stand for it. They have no evidence that you possess THC and to detain you for it is illegal.
