Do you watch one series at a time?

Or go back and forth between several?

I feel guilty starting one series before finishing another.

Back and forth
Some of my streaming is to watch older shows again.
Some is to watch newer shows still on the air

Back and forth
There are things I watch with my husband or kids and then things I watch on my own, so I feel like I often have multiple shows going at a time.

I like having a 20-30 min comedy show and longer/serious show in my queue. Sometimes I don’t have time to watch an hour long show.

Many at once just like I would watch many tv shows each night.

Sometimes we might be in mode and watch 3 episodes of something and sometimes we watch 3 episodes of 3 different shows to have variety.

I use Hulu & Peacock for TV. I watch current shows on a weekly basis, just like I would if I had live TV/cable. There are times I get behind and watch 2-3 shows at once. There are also times that I start to watch a TV series that has been on for awhile so will watch several episodes back to back, until I am caught up.

depends on the shows airing at a given time. if it's something with a detailed storyline we like to let them pile up so we can binge and keep the storyline straight and will do them one at a time-

paradise (last episode loaded today so it's on for tomorrow)
severence (season ends in a couple of weeks so it will be up next)
yellow jackets (last in the lineup)

new stuff that gets downloaded and is prone to unavoidable spoilers must be watched ASAP by us-

stranger things.....................waiting..........................
cobra kai-finished it
bad monkey-finished it
ted lasso-finished it
upload.....................waiting........................

non complex storylines (comedy for the most part) and old series we are rewatching periodicaly we generally do a handful of episodes in a sitting-

mythic quest-it's like junk food that you want another and another
reluctant tourist-starts up again soon
boston legal-if nothing else is on it's good for an episode or two
true crime docuseries-my default to watch

none of this applies to dh's sci-fi, horror, super hero...stuff which he watches as soon as they are available.

I binge one series at a time. Usually, they have complex storylines, so watching a few episodes at a time keeps the details fresh. Or I catch nuances I may have missed if I watched it a week or so apart, or other series in between.

However, watching this way, for an older series that spans several seasons, it becomes quite obvious when the show changes showrunners and producers, as things can really change all of a sudden. And when the show has jumped the shark, it is painfully evident. JumpingTheShark.gif

Person of Interest of was one of those shows. So was Killing Eve. I never did finish the last season and a half. :headache: Both of them were so great at the beginning.

But, I've given myself permission not to finish a series if I lose interest. There are way too many other shows to watch.

Back and forth for me as well. I also generally stream old stuff. Nothing new on the scene that appeals to me. I do watch a fair amount of Brit TV and some of those are newer shows that I have never see before. The US producers seem content on producing the same old garbage with no desire for anything new or interesting.

I have more than one going at a time, depending if it's something I'm watching alone or something I'm watching with DH. Generally he is not interested in most of the docs I watch when I can't sleep.

I stream like I read. Which is to say, all over the place with multiple things going at once and even more in the pipeline. I have tons of things in progress so no matter the mood I'm in, I can pick something up and read/watch.

It depends how it's released. If it's weekly I'll watch multiple shows at a time. If one is released all at once I usually binge it until it's done.

Our preferred method is to binge entire series but that’s getting harder to do. The services are now starting to drop new shows one episode at a time, which I find irksome. We’re currently watching Paradise (Disney+) and The Pitt (Crave) weekly and just finished binging Zero Day.

This is how we do it, as well.

We have a lot of shows at once, depends on our mood, what time of night it is, and who’s watching. I have treadmill shows for me, stuff I watch with H, stuff we watch with the “kids.” If they drop once a week we do try to wait a bit so we have the option of more than one episode at a time.
