Or is it considered a separate resort? We currently have ressies at WL for 10-9 through 10-15 and are considering switching to the cabins so we'll for sure have bunk beds. Could we still use the pool at WL or just the ones at FW?

Also, anyone have any input on whether we should switch to the cabins or keep our standard view reservations at WL?

Thanks!

If you are staying at Ft. Wilderness you will not be able to use the pool at WL because that is a different resort. Ft. Wilderness has their own swimming areas. If you stay at the WL Villas then you can use the pool at WL.

Hope this helps.... :)

I am pretty sure you can not use the pool at WL if you are staying in the campground cabins as they are two separate resorts. We have stayed in the cabins several times because we have three kids and like to have the full kitchen. The bedroom has bunk beds and a double bed and the living room has a double bed that pulls down from the wall. There is alot more room in the cabins than in a standard room. The pool for the cabins is alright but it's just a basic rectangle although a good size. There is alot to do in Fort Wilderness for active kids however. I don't know if I helped but good luck with your decision.

We loved the Cabins when we stayed there. We liked the extra room and having a separate bedroom. We would put the kids to bed in the evening and DH could sit, watch TV and talk.
We loved the atmosphere and all of the "extras" at FW. The boat to MK was fun.
That said, the transportation is more difficult than at any other resort. There is an internal bus to the major areas, where you then transfer to a park bus.
You can rent Golf Carts (reserve in advance if you are interested) for your internal transportation, and they are fun too. I think they are about $46/day.
We loved having the kitchen. For sure we saved money on breakfasts, and it was nice to have snacks and cold drinks waiting for us.
I would probably choose the Cabin over a standard room at WL, but I have never stayed at WL for comparison
Good Luck in your decision.

Hi

No you would not be able to use the pool at Wilderness Lodge. I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge and the Cabins at Ft. Wilderness Campgrounds. While staying in the cabins it was nice having the kitchen, but I felt so far removed from everything traveling back and forth to the parks was a tiresome ordeal.

The Wilderness Lodge is wonderful and they will try and meet your request for the bunk beds, the earlier you check-in the better your chances will be.
