if you planned to eat TS

6 meals on a 4 night stay? It depends on the year, and how you're using the credits, and how many kids you have and their ages. 2007: As long as I wasn't doing any 2 credit meals, and the 2 extra meals were inexpensive breakfasts or lunches, I'd probably still do the DDP and just pay OOP for the extra 2 meals. If there were any 2 credit meals, the extra meals were set-price buffets, and/or we had one or more 'tween that ate like a kid, I'd lean more towards the DDE.

2008: If there was no added expense to qualify for the DDE, meaning I already had an annual pass or lived in FL, I would go with the DDE no matter what.

Hmm, that was tougher to answer than I thought. I guess in almost all cases I'd prefer the flexibility of the DDE.

If your dinners are $22 or less then do the DDE if not do the DDP.

This accounts for a 7-8 lunch plus tax and a 4 dollar snack.

I use this as a way to determine also factor in the price of the DE--which currently will mean spending $300 to break even with the cost anything after that is savings. Remember the DDE will have an auto 18% gratuity added beginning in January.

Will your TS be $25 per person adult $7.00 per child?
I consider the CS for adult worth 10-12 and for children @$4.
Finally your snack $2.-$4 depending upon what you choose.

Again in 2008 you'll need to add a tip for DDP, for 2007 the tip is included.

I'm going to be going during New Years - so for NYE, I've booked Crystal Palace, and it's supposed to be 32.99/adult and 15.99/child for NYE. (Just me and DS currently for this trip) However, I was told that if I used DDP, it would be whatever the cost for DDP.

However, I'm going to Fultons which isn't DDP, but I still get 10% off dinner for being DVC.

DDE isn't during NY's though, so that's one day I can't use it!

I'm also considering California Grill one night. And some of our favourite places to eat are TS places, like Tony's at MK, and I'd really like to have lunch at 9 Dragons in Epcot, as well as try the new Japanese restaurant (especially if we can't get to CG).

For someone who wants to eat like me, do you think I would find the DDP too restrictive?

(and yes 6 TS meals in 4 days)
