If you had to do it again would you purchase a resale at...

Resale at the BWV that's where I bought originally and I have no interest buying anywhere else...

We love the BWV and would not trade it for anything. I'm sure others will feel the same about SSR.

I cherish each and everyone one of my BWV points... ::yes::

Now OKW... I could give up one of our contracts there for some points at SSR, but I wont....

You betcha, eh! We knew about all the resale contracts available and deliberately chose SSR. Plus, when I do retire, I'm hoping for a part-time CM position as a Towel Boy in the Ladies Spa! ::yes::

I probably go for the BWV. I love that whole area, the price would be cheaper, and I would always be able to stay at SSR probably at some point if I wanted to.

BWV resale. I am another BWV lover. Would not trade a single point away!!

We bought a BWV resale a year ago and couldn't be happier. We love the location and atmosphere. We also really love the "standard" view tier for points that they have only at BWV.

BWV, we bought resale in 2002 (150 pts) and added on in 2003 (100 pt ) and will not buy any where else. Can't beat the BW.:hyper: :hyper:

This is a great question. For me this might come down to whether the 10 year difference in length of membership means anything to you...

Each are near significant night life, restaurants and entertainment opportunities (although I give a slight edge to BWV on the restaurants, as SSR will only have the one food court on property)....

I am a proud (and happy) BWV owner. Given the significant difference in price, it would be hard in my mind to justify SSR, although I have little doubt it will be a beautiful resort.

One reason I might lean toward SSR...if you are an avid golfer...convenience of teeing off from your resort cannot be understated!

If I were to do it now....I'd probably go with BWV....with full knowledge that you can't easily go wrong with DVC!

Good luck.

I would still go for BWV. The reason is the location for me. Love being within walking distance of two parks and the activities around the Epcot resorts. Having said that I still look forward to being able to stay at SSR at least once. But BWV will still be the ideal vacation spot for me.:)

we have 450 at BWV and that is the only place we want to be !!

i'm sure people tell you this all the time....but by far THE MOST IMPORTANT FACOTR OF ALL IN BUYING IN IS THIS : ALWAYS GET POINTS WHERE YOU WANT TO STAY !! don't worry so much about price.....i don't mean completely disregard price, but if the difference is only a few dollars per point, make sure you buy at the place you want to be...

and if it means buying a resale to get into the property where you want to stay, then do that !

good luck....

That is tough. I like the idea of owning for 50 more years. All though I will be likely dead.

I would conpute the cost per year then decide.

I love my BWV points, and wouldn't sell them for anything. I love being near everything, having so many food options, and having that boardwalk view cannot be beat!! I have 600 pts there, spread over 3 contracts, and have no desire at all to buy SSR--I'll be dead by the end, anyway! My only desire now is to buy an OKW--golf is available there, too--and I would have great entertainment, watching all those golfers!:p

Although it wasn't a stated option, if I was buying new to DVC today, I'd buy one (or two or more) of each! I think as the children get older, SSR will be a great place to stay for the access to nightlife, shopping, etc.
