If you could go to WDW for just one special event in the year what would you choose? Which event combines unique Disney experiences with the ability to actually get on your favorite rides, with crowds that may be big but aren't unmanageable? This can apply either to a family with kids or an adult traveling solo or with friends.

I would have to say I would like to do the Christmas Party. We were there on Christmas Day but there was no party. i think it was the one thing we missed the most about being there at that time.

I would love to go at Easter time...but the crowds are crazy huge!

We're Halloween fans, so we enjoy MNSSHP. We've been able to get a good number of rides in, love the fireworks and parade, and like to soak up the atmosphere.

Sold out parties can be quite crowded for things like M&Gs, but we've always been able to get rides in.

I love the Flower & Garden Festival - beautiful and you can avoid it during Easter rush - great weather and the loveliest of grounds.

We love MNSSHP. Since Food and Wine overlaps MNSSHP if you went to WDW for more than just one day you could get in both special events.
That being said we do love flower and garden at Epcot as well-Epcot is definitely more beautiful that time of year.

A September Sunday or Tuesday MNSSHP. It really doesn't get much better than that for a "whole package" special event combining unique Disney experiences, access to rides, and manageable crowds.

We've been for both MNSSHP and MVMCP, and both are magical for all the obvious reasons. I love all the holiday decorations at all the parks and hotels, but, I'd have to say the we LOVE Disney (MK) during Halloween. If I could go for only one special event, I would choose MNSSHP, and as close to Halloween as possible, if not on Halloween!

That sounds like a perfect moms-only long weekend.

I want to do a MK after hours like midnight to 5am

I forgot about after hours. That would be a blast when my youngest is a teenager, although they'd be dragging me by the end.

I should have mentioned that we love seeing unique characters in the parks, but have zero interest in actually going up and meeting them.
