If you could give one piece of advice....

Don't be afraid to approach cast members for help (whether in the parks or on the phone), after all, you are a GUEST not a CUSTOMER. We have NEVER met a cast member who hasn't gone out of their way to point us in the right direction or offer advice for seating, dining plans, etc. It's not like the mall where you get "if it's not on the shelf we don't have it" or "did you look over there" or "I don't know where that'd be." Even the mouse-keeping and the bus-drivers at WDW are entertaining and informative so they're part of the magic too!

The Rose Garden in Epcot is a nice place to sit and relax and have some lunch. Also Mary Poppins and Winnie the Pooh have been in the toy store right near there on the past 2 trips and there has been no one there to see them. We get fish and chips and sit in the shade and take a nice, relaxing break! Sometimes the "Fake" BEATLES are out playing and then it is a nice break but NOT quiet :sunny:

Wow this is great everyone!! Keep em comming!

Alright heres mine: Put sunblock on your feet!! The last time I was at Disney I had on sandals in the park and by the middle of day two I could hardly wear any shoes because the tops of my feet were so burnt :( But that didn't stop the magic :bounce:

We are staying at POR at the end of June and we always rent a car. Whenever we go to Illuminations, we drive to the Boardwalk Hotel and park. After Illuminations we walk out the exit near United Kingdom, back to the boardwalk and hop in our car. Yes, it's a little bit of walking, but it sure beats fighting the crowds and waiting for the buses!

Just enjoy every minute of being there and take in the "little" things....

Hm, advise. That's so hard, there's so much!
Well, I would tell people the things not to skip.
For example, I would recommend to anyone (who doesn't mind a nice expensive meal and the fabulous view of the MK) to eat at California Grill. This to me is a MUST! After I went for the first time, I have since made it a tradition to eat a meal there one day of my trip. AND don't forget to request a window seat when you check in for your ressie.
Also, my favorite thing to tell people to do (if you're over 21) is to take ALOT of time in World Showcase in Epcot and to BARHOP AROUND THE WORLD!!!! I find more often than not, that i just don't give myself enuf time to get ALL the way around leisurely. I always get to a certain point where I say "OMG! It's already --:-- O'clock!!! We better hurry!" So, take your time and take everything in with each country. And take enuf time in each country so that you can stop at almost each one for a drink! That's what I've done the last few times I've been, and it's probably the most fun I have in the parks!

Have a daily itinerary (sp?) mapped out so you have listed your absolute, must sees! :woohoo:

DisneyGirlie-Wirlie- I love "Relax & have a drink in each country" :drinking1 We`re not much of the alcoholic beverage drinkers, but it can certainly be a water, or soda. Its a PERFECT excuse to linger and take in all the countries at EP.
As many times as we`ve been to Epcot, I still haven`t seen soooo much in world showcase.
Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2
My contribution to this post will have to be to: set aside one day (or half day) for enjoying your resort, swimming, exploring, relaxing, shopping, having Dinner, for us its the: "stop, and smell the roses" time :goodvibes

My biggest advice is DO NOT EVER WAIT IN LINES!

I never do and never miss anything I want to see. WDW is not going anywhere. Fast Pass is a great system. If you get a FP for something with a long line and then do something else, even if it's just browse a shop, you will have a much better trip than if you spend your whole time waiting in long lines. :)

Most important to me is to remember I'm on vacation. I tell myself this when I run into a crowd, or people engaging in un-Disneylike behavior. I just remember that I'm not in a rush, that I can always come back, and then I manage to have a lot more fun than I was earlier! :thumbsup2

My most important piece of adivce is to relax and open yourself up to all the magic happening around you. My dd (4) has taught me more about really truly letting the magic happening to you. It is really worth it. :wizard:
