If you could choose only 1 park to visit for the day which park would it be and why?

MK To me it encompasses all of Walts original vision for families to have fun together.

That is a tough one on the restaurants...I have two
Ohana The food is great, the atmosphere wonderful, and if it works out, Wishes from the windows with the music pumped in

or 50sPTC Food is great, atmosphere is wonderful, and where else can you get that type of nostalgia wrapped up with the CMs antics

The park is an easy one. For me it would be Magic Kingdom. Yes I have small children but Magic Kingdom still is Disney to me. The attractions there are iconic and just oooze Disney.

The dinner reservation is more difficult as we haven't enjoyed the sit down reservations much but I would say Hoop de doo (for a non show reservations then Liberty Tree Tavern)

I'll bet I'll be the only one who'll choose the Animal Kingdom. I could just wander around looking at the animals and enjoying the lush scenery all day. I usually take 3 or 4 rides on KS too, when I'm not wandering thru Panjani FT or Maharaja JT!

The MK, it is disney to meI freely admit I reluctantly get drug along to the other parks by my family during our trips, hmmph! The whole time I think about what I'm missing @ the MK.

The dinner reservation is more of a 'who' than 'where' for me. I wasn't financially able to take my oldest DS to WDW when he was a tot. Now I can't wait to take his daughter to a charactar meal (if he plays his cards right I might take him along too).

MK. Traditional attractions, plus parade and Wishes to end the night. Plus I appreciate all of the ornate details in MK, like ornate ironwork, and things like marble baseboards in the Bakery... Its a wonderful place to wander around!

If the family is choosing dinner, then it's Tony's. DW loves the spaghetti, (more for being like her grandparent's . ). And its in a wonderful MK building.

Thanks for all of the feedback! My DH and I are going to be in St. Augustine for a week and I just couldn't be so close and not "stop in" atleast. So I booked a room at OKW for one night (bought 10 one-time use points) ...unfortunately, we do have to get back to the rest of the family in St. Augustine. Shucks!

So I'm trying to make the most of my one dayer...I've never done it for just one day! Since I'm planner of the family, I'm holding back my need to create an excel spreadsheet and lay it all out. But I would like a general game plan atleast, in my head, so I can make the most of my one day. I do have to keep reminding myself that I have a big trip planned next year at WDW for the whole family AND since I am a member, this isn't my one and only trip ever....it's just so hard!

So far, I'm torn between MK, Epcot and yep - Animal Kingdom. Dinner, I'm leaning towards Liberty Tree Tavern, Ohana and San Angel Inn. It's a dilemma, but you've all given me stuff to think about. Thanks again!

Well, here's the problem. I would have a terrible time choosing the "one park" between Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Since you also asked about "one dinner" I guess that would help me to make the choice, so I would choose Epcot simply so I could have dinner at Teppan Edo!

This is tougher. Honestly at this point in my trip planning I'd say the Turf Club at SSR because I am so excited to explore our home resort.

From the restaurants I've actually tried, I'd say Restaurant Marrakesh. Love that food.

ETA: Olivia's at OKW is really good.

I would choose MK because it always feels magical to me and allows me to feel like a kid again (temporarily).

I would choose California Grill for a late evening dinner at a window table where I would enjoy a good meal and all the lights of MK.

You're not the only one! I would also choose the Animal Kingdom. It is so much more relaxed and informal than the other parks. I love the Festival of the Lion King, and just wandering around in the park.

As far as restaurants at the AK, we love the Flame Tree BBQ both for the food and the fantastic seating area down by the river; the views, the river, the animals. Outside of AK we love Artist's Point in the Wilderness Lodge. The food has always been outstanding.

If I truly had to choose just one then it would be EPCOT. However, I am a cheater and have park hoppers so I could hit my favorite rides at both EPCOT and MK and be in heaven... As far as Dinner, I am partial to the Turf Club.. Their steaks are to die for!!!

Whew, thank you! What's funny is that we also love AP resturant. We've celebrated many wedding anniversaries there. Last year we didn't, because we chose to go to HHI for a PGA golf tournament. DH LOVES golf! Yet, you know what he said on the way home? "I missed having our anniversary at Artist's Point".
