will you ever be able to move on and just enjoy their music again?

Watching the Grammy's it doesn't seem like the audience is all that entralled with them. And I always think these awards are 'fixed" anyway, to fit someone's or some groups agenda.... Their newest CD / Tour was a "bomb" when compared to the previous stuff, if I have my facts right.

They were one of my favorites over their first 3 CDs, now I can't even enjoy them at all. Probably never will again, either.

I don't think they'll ever recapture their initial fan base, but I doubt that's their goal. They have a place and an audience. I used to like them back when they had a more bluegrass sound. I did wonder if somebody was trying to make a political statement in choosing them, but I could care less.

Song of the Year:
'Not Ready to Make Nice'
- Dixie Chicks

Best Country Album:
'Taking the Long Way'
- Dixie Chicks

Nope, can't enjoy them now at all. Wide Open Spaces was one of my faves but I don't even know where it is anymore.

I think it's a slap to country music fans that they took country album tonight. They left country behind by their own choice. I don't think they sound country now.

I probably would never have listened to them if they hadn't taken a political stance, and now I have their songs on my ipod. In general, I don't do country music.

Before my feelings were pretty indifferent towards them, now...I have no interest in them at all.

I don't mind them taking a political stand. I can just tune that part out. However, I thought they were disrespectful in how they accepted the award for best country album. I'm surprised they didn't try to make a statement by not accepting it since they obviously have contempt for the genre and it's fans as a whole. It's too bad that they caught so much flack in the past, but they are just as guilty as not leaving crap in the past with the stunt they pulled tonight. I have a feeling they'll be giggling about all the chatter that will arise from it though.

Same here. I never listened to them until all the Hoopla(which i never understood) over what they said.
They are ok! However, I really like them on the Tony Bennet Duets (80th Birthday) cd! singing 42nd street:thumbsup2

What did they do tonight?...NOT watching the grammys here!:confused3

I figure they have made enough $ that they really can afford not to care what people think.

I can't stand them and yes, I am a republican....but it has NOTHING to do with their political stance. My favorite musical artists are John Couger Mellancamp and Bruce Springsteen...so there ya go. I dislike them for being so very immature and having the "FKUTK" on their clothing during a concert "which meant **** you Toby Keith"......please....I'm not in middle school and I won't listen to a bunch of whiney *******s that still are....

Nope I will never listen to their music again and I am really good at changing the radio station when I hear them come on.

It wasn't necessarily for their political stance either it was on how the slammed their listeners at one point. "And in a Time magazine cover story she said the group would rather have "a smaller following of really cool people who get it," as opposed to "people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith."

Oh and then there were the redneck comments as well I am just not a fan anymore.
