That is the oddest thing. Happens to be my AK day AND it is the only day it closes at 5pm! I wonder what is going on.

It could be a private evening event and they're limiting capacity more than usual so that the people who are there that day are able to see and experience everything in less time.

Maybe Festival of the Lion King preview? Not sure if it is a good or bad thing that that is our day.

Ugh, I hope that does not mean they are increasing capacity.

And if they are increasing capacity, I hope they are also increasing ride capacity and/or shows, attractions, etc.

I suppose the other option is that they reallocated some of the AP slots to the hotel guests/park ticket guests.

That is also my AK day. Wonder why it’s not green and still closing at 5. Has me curious as well!

Yes, that’s very normal.

It seems that the availability calendar will show full, but it’s not updated instantaneously, and it may show full when there are still a few spots left. It’s always worth trying to book, even when the availability calendar shows full. Sometimes it takes persistence, but you can definitely find spots often.

Phew! Trying to plan a short trip w co-workers and of course HS is booked for the first week of June when we are going. Sounds like there's still a chance to get a reservation even if it says full. Not the end of the world if we don't get in but it would be nice. Any advice? Just keep checking?

Have you checked today? They opened up a lot of spots yesterday for June.

edit: just rechecked, and many of the DHS spots have been booked, it seems.

You might be surprised at the dining availability. Ours opened last Thursday and I was able to get pretty much most of the restaurants we wanted for June. Also if anyone is planning on booking Savi’s Lightsaber build at the 60 day mark they actually open reservations at midnight of your 60 days. It was nice getting that the night before so I could focus on dining at 6 am.

We will be in WDW for a corporate event on June 22 that is advertised as a super special "surprise" banquet event at one of the parks. I surely hope its for our event! I haven't ever experienced anything like a closed park before-and we were supposed to have a desert party with special fireworks viewing at Epcot, of course that's a no go! All put off from last June-

That most definitely explains it and awesome for you! With the unlikely change to park hours, we moved our AK day. I'm hoping to see AK after dark.
