If $$ were no object, how many DVC points would you have?

Most answers seem to focus on WDW stays with a couple opting for cruises also, but if money were no object then the more inefficient uses of points would be great way to use points. After all money is no object. So I'm think one ABD vacation a year would be an excellent thing to do. Currently the most expensive is 840 pts. - so that's 1680 pts. Then I'd like a BLT 1 BR LV for two weeks a year, but not the same time of year. The two highest weeks are 384 and 296 pts. So in total I'd get about 2400 pts.

You make a good point. I would want as many points as need to be able to do any vacation type that was available to me.

Probably enough I could spend a few days at VB and few weeks in The World in a 2 Bedroom at BWV and a week In GCV. But if no limit then enough points for for 2 bedroom Boardwalk View for a year! Shawnpirate:

Enough for a one bedroom for 3 months (jan-march).

Loving all of these fantastic ideas!! There is a big lotto drawing tonight so if I win maybe I can get those 1,000 points :lmao: You would all hear me scream!

Any more suggestions? :confused3

Completely agree with the MI poster... enough points to do winter in FL + some to treat our families... :)

I thought about another poster's answer on buying property on disney. So I looked up Golden Oak. But then we would miss on the Disney atmosphere by not staying in the resort. So I think DVC would still be funner... except for having to make ressies 11mo out part.

DH already suggested buying a rental house down in FL for us to retire in. But I just can't do it. In my mind the point of doing WDW is to be IN disney. To stay outside the disney resort just don't feel right to me... (this is the part where DH rolled his eyes at me... :lmao: )

Also, you would have to maintain that home, probably have a managment company during the months you were using it. Dh and I went through this discussion of DVC versas a condo or home a couple of years ago...do we buy more DVC points or buy a condo. After crunching the figures, we honestly felt it made more sense to buy more DVC.
Made my day!!!
