Just thinking it may be cheaper to fly into a different airport than MCO. I think it would be Tampa, but not sure. Does anyone know if we would be able to get a shuttle from there to DW? Or maybe car rental would be cheaper away from the mainstay. I saw on mousesavers that one could rent a vehicle for 189.00 and thats a great deal. I dont do credit cards though, my only card is my faithful no interest debit/credit card. I wonder if that would work? If not, a shuttle service would be great if we needed it to get from another outlying airport.

I don't think you will find shuttle service from Tampa to WDW.

There is no shuttle bus. You would have to take the Greyhound or rent a car. But, Orlando gets deals that Tampa doesn't sometimes. Depends where you are flying from.

There's no shuttle service from TPA to WDW or MCO.

You do NOT want to take Greyhound, it won't take yout o WDW, it will take you to the Orlando bus depot which is in an area known as Crime Hills. Second worse part of Orlando, only our lovely Parramore District.

Some rental agencies will rent to those without a credit card under certain circumstances. Keep in mind that if you do not carry collision on your personal vehicles you will need the extra insurance on a rental, and budget for that as well.

Look into the Orlando Sanford airport. It is about 50 miles away, and usually has decent prices going in there too. They do have shuttles (You should arrange ahead of time) and take cash for it. But they are about the same as a car rental. Could you apply for a credit card now and see if you qualify?
I think some places do take the debit/credit card, but remember that they do not charge your card till after you bring it back, but put a hold on your card. And usually it is for the whole amount, plus a % more. Dollar is around 15% extra.

If you go one way, you generally return.....

If you read through the web site you will see it is a car service disguising itself as a shuttle service. You will be quoted a flat fee for all or maybe a fee per person. In either case the fee will end up being about what you pay a cheaper and reputable car service company. To tell you the truth most of these companies, who build great web sites, do not actually offer what they advertise on the web. I think this is one of them.

My family of 4 are going to Orlando later today. I was debating whether to stay onsite. Then I got a cheaper ticket to Daytona Beach. So I reserved a rental car there and we are going to stay offsite. You have to take everything into account when planning the trip. I do need a rental car anyway, so the decision was not too difficult for me.
