I am so cracking up over that announcement. That is just too funny.
I am not a fan of Remy's menu and your brunch makes me think I am right. It's too fancy for a country gal like me.
I wouldn't know how to eat half of it.![]()
Jen, the announcement has been a running gag ever since!

As for the menus at Remy - if you "take them apart" they are mostly common things with a fancy name, served in a HUGE plate.

Dinner menu (and we went twice those cruises) are a bit different, there were items I was not too fond of too, but it was nice to experience it.

Hi Karin! Thanks for sharing your Remy brunch! It looks very nice - but like Jenseib said, it is quite fancy. I think I would enjoy every bit of it, but I was picturing DH saying, "what is this stuff?" And "Where's the food?" the whole time - I think I would want to do that one with a lady friend.![]()
Tammie, the experience itself is fancy. The setting and the service are a bit over the top and since there are so many courses, I guess, your DH would be pleased in the end. It is fun to "take it apart" and it comes down to things that are pretty common - the gnocci for instance you'll find on every good Italian restaurant's menu. Fish course was basically fish served on top of very nicely done scrambled eggs

We don't really take the service seriously as we have never come across a restaurant that is run like this one (and believe me we have been to quite a few high end ones), but we had so much fun with Mathieu in the end, we HAD TO go back.

Karin I have to say how amazing reading through this report is for me. When you mentioned the announcement of Issac I had a total flash back of that day!!! We had to take Angie to the infirmary on that day and could not believe the difference in the motion of the ship down there all I can say is!!! When we were on deck 6 we could hardly tell we were in the storm but when on deck two I could barely walk!!! I was really rocking down there!!!!
Again thanks so much for writing these amazing trip reports you have given me the joy of reliving our cruise over and over again!!!!![]()
Michelle, by now, I think we are so used to stormy seas as we hardly ever have had a cruise without a storm thrown in.

But you could tell, the further "down" you were the more you felt it.
I am glad you enjoy the trip report, I am so hoping we are going to get to cruise together again one day.
