If we can DREAM it, we can do it! ..... another 30 day vacation Update 02/07

That view from your window is stupendous !!! Isn't it nice when a CM just goes that extra mile and makes your day!!!! All your French food looked good , but I am soooo full from 2 parties today, first our Annual Christmas Tea, complete with sausage rolls and Trifle, and then the House Party at my part time job !! I made 2 more trifle for that but brought 1 home and made Samantha's day!!!

Oh, Karin, you certainly hit the jackpot with the view from your room! Amazing!

I am so enjoying all the photos - it is a like a stroll around DLPR. Thank you so much!:goodvibes

Also enjoying the Advent calendars! So far #4 is my favorite hat - Tom looks fabulous in pink and the bow adds the perfect cute touch! :thumbsup2

Of course, every food day looks yummy, but the drinks at the Cabana were especially inviting. Please thank Tom again - the calendars are so much fun. I admit to peeking ahead just to see what I might find! ;)

Oh! We celebrate St. Nicholas Day in our home too, but this was the first time Sophia was really excited. She left her slippers outside her bedroom door for St Nicholas to leave some goodies. Fortunately, my bathroom is right next door so seeing her empty slippers early that morning reminded me I had forgotten to fulfill my duty! Thank goodness she slept in and I was able to tuck some little chocolate and an orange into each slipper before she woke.

All your night time pictures are just beautiful! The pictures you got with reflections in the lake are just amazing!

Really nice CMs are hard to find at DLRP. She really made my day and I wish they would implement the same rules as they have in the US. CMs can make or break your experience. ;)
Ah, I can so understand that Samantha was happy you brought home some Trifle.

We were really happy with the view. We had booked a lake view to begin with, but there are other parts of the hotel where you would be able to see the lake, but not that "face on". ;)
I am glad you like the calendar and so is Tom. No problem with peeking - just don't make Santa mad. :rotfl2:
I love your little story about Sophia putting her slippers out! You are being a really good granny, by filling them.

All your night time pictures are just beautiful! The pictures you got with reflections in the lake are just amazing!

I love those reflections and whenever I see a good one I need to take a photo. :lmao:
Thanks for sticking with me - only one more Paris day to go and then we are back to 25 more WDW days. :scared1:

I am still enjoying the calendars. They are so fun.
I love the nighttime shots of the balloon. Those are gorgeous.
You guys always eat so good!

Wow you two had quite the spread! And what a sweet CM at the store - these are the people that make Disney stand out from everywhere else. Your night shots are also very pretty :goodvibes

Great updates Karin :)

Do you have an AP for DLRP?

I was wondering if this would be a good option for me as I am visiting in Feb but want to visit at least twice next year - I only ever stay for two nights though as II hate to be away from DH and DD (Disney Dog)) for any longer !

Love the look of your French feast !

:goodvibes Jen, we are happy you enjoy the calendars! :thumbsup2
There is something about lights and reflections at night. Gets me every time. ;)

I could not believe how sweet that girl at the store was. Such a wonderful change from most of the CMs there. :woohoo:
We were glad to have Tom's DSLR for the night shots, my camera is a bit too "slow" for them. ;)

Yes, we have an AP for DLRP. Came in very handy, as it gave us 40% off of the hotel, saved 20% on shopping and 10% on food. ;)
It pretty quickly pays for itself. :lmao:

We have always found the AP the best way to go. We only had about 5 entries with the last AP, but we got so many discounts that it was well worth it. AND, if you stay offsite, the AP lets you in for EMH, not that I care for them at DLRP. :lmao:

Can't go to Paris, without having some baguette and some eclairs!

Love Chef Tom!! The food is as always yummy!~!!

:thumbsup2 Thank you, Rosie. Tom is pretty happy that you all like his work (and pics!) :goodvibes

Disneyland Paris November 2012

Day 3, November 18

Making the most of the day ..... - Part 1

The alarm went off at 6am and we were not able to crawl out of bed. We gave ourselves another half hour of sleep before we got up, took showers and got ready to head down for breakfast.
At 7.30am we arrived at the restaurant and again, were led to a table. Tom went to get coffee and hot chocolate, while I got some orange juice for Tom and water for myself.

Once we had the drinks on the table I quickly walked round the buffet snapping photos as not too many people were around.

Photos done we started our breakfast with the hot offerings again, so we loaded some scrambled eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes and some tomatoes onto our plates.

IMG_7306.jpg

A second plate with some baguette and we were off to our table to enjoy part one of our breakfast.

The breakfast at HNY actually looks pretty good

Was there more than one restaurant to eat breakfast at Karin or were you assigned a particular place to eat?

The breakfast buffet looks very good and I loved the Hat pix for today !!! Tom you are amazing !!! Who needs a commercial Advent Calander !!!

Buffet looks yummy...other than the tomatoes with breakfast. ;) We got used to that on our trips to London - we prefer a B&B so we had an English Breakfast each morning....but the "Full" English breakfast was quite a surprise!

Today's hat it priceless!!! Kudos to Tom!

Also, RF is one of my favorite resort CS - I've read several who are not crazy about it, but we found nothing wrong at all. Perfectly yummy and good options.:thumbsup2 Dining area is a bit cramped, but nothing terrible. Hey, put me in WDW and I am a happy camper!!! ::yes::

So enjoying the Advent calendars! TY again!:goodvibes

We were actually quiet pleased with the breakfast. There were a lot of choices and not like in the "value" hotels where you have to "fight" for a table. :lmao:
There is a second restaurant and they had someone stationed there, but I am not sure it was open when we had breakfast - we had early times.

Great Updates! I think next time you should put Tom in a stroller with a baby hat on like Baby Huey and push him through without bag check! :rotfl2:

You know I was actually thinking of that myself. :rotfl2:

Rosie, I am so glad you like Tom's calendar so much! I agree, he does an amazing work on them. :thumbsup2

Ah, Christine, we LOVE tomatoes with breakfast - I even have it here, even without a cooked breakfast.
Full English Breakfast - yum yum - we usually stay at my aunt's house, when we go to London and she always cooks us a Full English, so we are all set to "survive" a day in the city. :rotfl2:

We haven't been to RF much, but Linda had posted a few food pics from there and it looked to good to give up. So when we had time, we just drove over for breakfast. It was as good as it looked. :thumbsup2

Disneyland Paris November 2012

Day 3, November 18

Making the most of the day ……….. - Part 2

A second plate with some baguette and we were off to our table to enjoy part one of our breakfast. Once we had finished it, we walked back to the buffet for a second plate. Tom got

IMG_7309.jpg

some ham and cheese and some more baguette, while I had some of their really yummy

IMG_7315.jpg

chocolate croissants. And while picking them up I came to admire their Nutella dispenser.

IMG_7314.jpg

Really cute thing. We discussed what we should do today and once we were done with breakfast we headed back to our room, packed up the rest of our stuff and then walked around the room one more time, before we had to say goodbye.

IMG_7316.jpg

We rolled our luggage downstairs, dropped the room keys into the provided box and put all our luggage in the trunk of the car. Luggage stowed away we walked back through the hotel and over to the Disney Village. Thank god, there wasn’t a long line at the security check and we were through quickly. We walked through some of the shops again and Tom was on a mission of finding that Dooney for me.

DSC_0462.jpg

Shortly after the park had officially opened we walked through the turnstiles and into the park. Main Street and the Town Square were crowded again,

but Tom managed to take a photo of our reflection in one of the large Christmas ornaments on the tree.

DSC_0464.jpg

We were swept up Main Street and enjoyed the view of the castle.

Since we hadn’t ridden much the day before we walked over to Big Thunder Mountain, but even in the morning the line was 45 minutes long and that didn’t appeal to us that much. So we got in line for a Fastpass. Needless to say that they allowed people to form 4 lines, but only 3 machines actually worked, so they had to squeeze people from the forth line into the other lines. A cast member helped with the distribution of the Fastpasses and soon we had some in hand. We contemplated doing Indiana Jones, but when we saw that it had a 20 minute wait, we passed on it. So we strolled through the park and found ourselves in front of Pirates of the Caribbean again.

IMG_7321.jpg

This time it only had a five minute wait and we got in line and were soon sitting in one of the boats. The pirates were still fighting and not too much later we had to get off again.

IMG_7323.jpg

We walked towards Fantasyland and were so surprised to see how crowded it was again.

IMG_7326.jpg

IMG_7327.jpg

Everything had a huge line, even the meet and greet line for Mickey was out the door.

IMG_7324.jpg

IMG_7325.jpg

We walked up to the castle

IMG_7328.jpg

and when we walked through we heard the Christmas Parade coming up Main Street.

Still here Karin :lovestruc

More lurking than posting ( I dislike posting from my phone...I can't pop in my stickers) but I am enjoying every pic!!! And DS thinks Tom and his hats are hilarious :thumbsup2

Karin...thanks for taking me on another great trip to Disneyland Paris. The night pictures from your room are amazing...beautiful. Cute picture of you and Tom's reflection in the christmas ornament. The breakfast buffet looks yummy and I have never seen a nutella dispenser at a buffet before, but would like it if I did! Please tell Tom I am enjoying his calenders.

I am really happy you enjoy the trip to Paris. I just loved the view from our window - unfortunately we only had one evening to admire it. :lmao:
We have done a picture like the one in the ornament every time we went for Christmas - it's a fun little tradition.
I have never seen a Nutella dispencer like this before either. It was so neat, full of little personal size portions.
Glad to hear that you enjoy the calendars! :goodvibes

Another Update !!What a bummer the lines were sooo long again !!! Glad you at least got to ride POTC!!! Tom's Hat on the 11th is priceless , at first I didn't even see him:rotfl2:
