At these prices I can't afford whole milk, so I'm down to 2% ( not that I can't afford to do that ) , and at the price of gasoline , I am walking to get my mail ( a mile away each way ) and to the convenience store , ( I can use those walks too ). Sometimes I take my bike . Man I am going to get in shape this year...

honestly - I notice my half gallon of skim milk is 75 cents cheaper then DH's full gallon of whole milk.

WOW , that is not the case here but truthfully the reason why we went down to 2% is because of health reasons, we drink too much milk and even my doctor said dd should go down to at least 2% if not skim milk. YUCK, I don't like skim milk, it's like drinking water with color in it.
But it's just funny that it happened at the same time the prices went up.
But the gas situation, gas prices is part of the reason why I do that. Besides that I can use the exercise , I think twice now about driving anywhere and I try to combine all my trips to the stores into one.

I honestly thought the SAME THING...but you can't go from whole to skim in one fell swoop. You gotta cut down gradually...from 2% down to 1% then to skim.

I've been drinking skim milk for nearly 4 years now...love it. My stomach is sensitive to high fat dairy though...whole milk tastes like cream to me and I can't STAND the taste of half and half.

It does look like cloudy water when compared to whole...but I think it tastes good...
